Good morning everyone.
Well, the pain meds worked so fast! They told me to watch her because it could cause her to stumble when they started kicking in. She would not rest, she was standing staring at the walls--very similiar to what she did after her spay surgery only I think that was LESS painful.
She was standing and then started staggering and almost lost her balance. So, I gently laid her down and she sleep from that point on. It was very helpful for me to as I was just about near exhaustion. I was honestly thinking if they didn't work I was going to take her back because I just couldn't do it another night.
Not that I didn't want too. . .
And, today she still seems pretty good, she's drinking and ate some cottage cheese. I figured I'd start with that--she does well with dairy. She wags at going for a walk.
But, something, that dog I know, is still not completely back. I've never been so scared. I really thought I was going to loose her this week.
I'm praying that today she continues to do well and I start to see my Willow again. I don't think you guys can imagine how devastated I've been seeing her like this. I just wasn't prepared for this all of a sudden.
Thank for all the posts. They've meant a lot to me as I don't have much of a support group when it comes to Willow. DH loves her but with something like this you need more than one person.
Thanks.
Lori
