Need help with Willow

Lori, I've got my fingers crossed for Willow. I know you want to bring her home but if she does need to be at the vet she really will be OK there. It'll be ok, hang in there.

    Ben sends kisses to Willow.

Either way, I'm going to leave to go see her in a little while. And, I will decide when I look at her if I think she should stay there tonight.

Go with your gut and the vet's advice, but I know I'd have a really difficult time not bringing her home.  If they aren't going to be monitoring her all night or continuing IV fluids, I think she might be better off at home with you, but that's just me.  You'll know the right thing to do.

    Lori,

I just don't know what to say.......I've been coming back to the board just to get info on Willow and see how she is doing.  Go with your gut feeling.  If she is really bad and/or they will keep her on iv all night and someone will watch her all night - then that's one thing.  But, if none of the above, then do bring her home.  I know - you can't make that decision until you see her.

Oh, poor Willow!!! What a mess! I hope she isn't too stressed by all the handling she's having to deal with.

Poor Willow!  Lori, go with your gut.  If you believe that Willow will do better at home, then bring her home with you.  If she seems comfortable at the vet clinic then let her stay.  I hope that everything works out for you both.

    Prayers coming from Texas.

Lori, I'm so sorry -- I'd go visit too ... and make your decision there.  If she's super stressed bring her home.  But if you think she needs to be monitored then it's a good place for her.  But you can make your decision there probably more easily.  Good thots and prayers!

Poor Willow; having this on top of a UTI; this must be so hard on you, Lori.  Did the vet say what may have caused her intestines to be inflamed; is it related to her IBD?  I hope she's better this evening. I'm sending lots of hugs and healing vibes. Willow, get well for mommy.

Thanks again you are all true friends especially to Willow!

She's home now.  She seems to be doing much better.  She's had IV fluids and injections of Pepcid and also an anti nausea medication.  They sent me home with pill form of the anti nausea and she needs to have a bland diet starting tomorrow.  No food or water tonight, and she's searching the house for water.  She even attempted to lick the tub!

I'm not convinced she's totally OK yet.  But, better.  So, we'll see how tonight goes.

And, yes, it could very well just be an IBS flare up but it's the upper intestines and normally she's affected in the lower.  They just don't know for sure what's causing it.

Between yesterday, last night and today, the total was $700.  I just thank God that I have it.

Thanks again for everything and I'll update tomorrow.  Keep fingers crossed tonight goes well.

    Lori
