Whats the Most Extravagant Thing You Bought For your Dog?

The most expensive/extravagent thing I've bought for my dogs thus far is a Chevy Trailblazer. Followed closely by 8 sheep... and in the next year or so a farm with enough acreage to increase the flock, and have a small agility course at home.

To those who have purchased sheep and farms for their dogs .... will you adopt ME ???  Please, pretty please ????  I'll be a good girl.

LOL, most likely food! She couldn't give a care if she had a diamond collar. She'd prolly eat it in a minute anyways.

Oh, and we built her an 800 dollar crate thats built from extruded aluminum and PVC coated wire mesh. This thing is inescapable. It probably took as long to make.

I'm a dog collar addict which turned into a job for me. I think nothing of spending 50+ dollars on a collar, as long as it looks nice. Well, i took jersey to the vet for her annual check up & the vet had these samples of some fancy dental chews. She loved them SO MUCH that i ended up spending $30 on this little bag of what are essentially treats. I guess I just really love my dog.

Your collars are beautiful! I bookmarked your site and will be passing it on to a few friends. Also love the horse hair bracelets. I will have to have one made shortly !

I buy him healthy food even though it is more expensive, bones, toys, a backpack, a bed, but the most expensive thing was a PDA. When Gunnar was a puppy he ate my brand new PDA and I had to buy another one.

Other than the usual high quality food, vet care, toys, etc. the single most expensive items I've bought are the two car seats I purchased today- around $150. Before I was just using a harness and doggie seatbelt and they would slide around on the backseat. These will be cozier for them and let them see out the window.

NOT something I consider an extravegance.  You've got LITTLE dogs and keeping them safely and comfortably secured is important.  My big lugs can use the harness/seatbelt and still see out the window and be safe.  With the little ones, I think anything that keeps them seated and entertained is more a neccessity.  I sure as heck wouldn't want MY scenery to never change for however long I'm in the car.

So, while I wouldn't count this as an extravagance, I'd count it as a smart move and money well spent.  Ain't nothing worse than riding with dogs who are bored and whiney because they are bored!

True Glenda. It's funny- my mind changed "extravagant" to "expensive". [:D] So the carseats are the most expensive single item that I've purchased for them.

So I guess the most extravagant thing I've bought is a whale pattern Fox & Hound harness/leash for Gingerbread; with shipping it was around $50. Extravagant because a plain one from Petsmart would have done the same thing for a lot less money. Right now I'm using a plain one for Fudge because he'll outgrow it soon. When he's big enough to wear the adult sized one (adjusted down) I'm buying him a Fox & Hounds harness too AND new one for Gingerbread. I want to get the Aqua Brown Stripe and Aqua Brown Dots so they'll be coordinated. [:)]
