    Mindless Chatter Wed

    This week is crawling

I'm so tired I could go back to sleep for 8 more hours. When I got out of bed, I almost fell over!

Gas went up to 3.75 yesterday. That's wonderful. I need to submit my expenses for work so I can afford gas.

I spent 2 hrs at the dog park last night and none of the dogs were tired. I don't know what it was but they had endless energy. Even Dakota. Dakota did get lost in the park at one point. Poor dog can't see or hear well anymore so when she wanders off then can't find me she gets all worried. Neiko knows how to find her though so that's cool.

Did I mention I was tired?

Tell me about it. I haven't even been to bed yet and it's 4am here! WHY AM I STILL UP!!??

Poor Dakota getting lost but it's a good thing she's got a seeing eye dog ijn Neiko. Lol.

OK now my back is killing me! DH thinks it is from limping  because of my toe. I am MISERABLE! I don't know if I am staying all day at work.

Last night for some reason Max woke us up around 3:30AM. Don't know why? Silly dog.

Have I mentioned that I hate Michigan?  Last week, I was running around in tank tops, sleeping with my windows open.  This morning, my car was covered in ice!

I feel so tired even though I went to bed at 10:30 and got up after 7....

WI too!  This is ridiculous!  My brother is in the process of moving to Arizona (is driving right now) and I couldn't be more jealous!

I can't stand moving.  There is no more room in my house...boxes are everywhere.  Goodwill is coming today to take a bunch of stuff and we have to drop off 10 BOXES of books at the library tonight.  I should have asked DH before we got married if he was a pack rat.  If I knew then what I know now, I might have rethought things.  That man saves everything.  It's unbelievable.  He has things that are still sealed in boxes from when we moved 8 years ago and he won't give them up.  I have stopped asked and starting throwing out.  This is nuts.

I am taking 1/2 days today and tomorrow and off on Friday.  The big move happens on Saturday and I can't wait.  Hopefully everything will fit in the truck.  I am thinking about sending Charlie to day care on Friday.  The poor guy has no place to run around and he keeps getting into things.  Not his fault, with 30 open boxes hanging around the temptation is just too much.  Thank goodness my mom came in yesterday, she's helping and will get everything whipped into shape.

if it makes you feel better it was 87* on Friday and 36* this morning - I actually like the 'cool' spring many here are complaining about.  Me nor Bugs was ready for just shy of 90*, because once that starts in these parts it's here for months.  I prefer the 70's.

    I am ravenously hungry.

Bugsy has his CGC tonight - I will be stunned if he passes.  We tried again this morning to sit and wait to be petted but once again he got up and licked the guy.  Ah well. This guy has had mastiffs so downsized to a dane.  He thought B was a dane/mastiff cross Indifferent Yesterday someone said wow what a neat looking chocolate lab.  The dog without a breed. He don't care. he was out this morning 'hunting' and found a giant beetle to play with, he is never short of a buddy

Have a ton to do with deadlines and it is so boring I am struggling. cya

Karen, I think for the CGC petting he can move around as long as he's not pulling away, shying away, or jumping on the person.  Kenya stood up from a sit and leaned into the man scratching her.  Coke went from a sit to rolling on his belly for a belly rub.  It all depends on the evaluator, but both dogs passed.  The important point is that the dog stays near you and isn't too excitedly going for the person, jumping on the person, or being too shy/scared.  We have difficulty with this with Coke, b/c he wants to run over to every person and get loved.  We take him to the college and practice sit-stays on the path.  If the kids do want to pet him, we allow them to approach and if he holds the sit-stay long enough for them to make the approach, then he is allowed to stand and be petted.  If he lunges forward or puts his paws up, he has to leave and he doesn't get to meet them.

Thanks Lies - I so want to get this so that we can do tracking and may be agility.  We have practiced this forever with him but he just seems to have an overwhelming urge to love people, and lots of people won't even try to pet him because he is so 'scary' looking.  We have people cross the street etc when we walk, even if I have him in a sit stay.

oh well he will or he won't.  If he doesn't I will keep working on it and test elsewhere and look for a tracking class that doesn't require CGC

Bah... Crusher decided to go for a run of his own this morning.  Luckily he doesn't go far, mostly sticks around the house.  He likes to go under the house to find cat poop, ew.  So there I was walking around like an idiot in my jammies, leash in hand.  I  don't even bother calling him when he does that cause he won't come to me.  The nice lady from across the street came to start her car or something and he went up to her.  She was nice enough to grab onto his collar for me and we had a good laugh.  It always suprises me how nicely he walks back here on his leash after one of his escapades.

After we got inside, I saw Lady, the dog from next door, go running through my yard.  Apparently she was loose too.  And then I saw a cop go walking through my yard...uh oh...I looked out and my neighbor was outside too, trying to lure Lady in.  So I grabbed a leash and headed out the door.  Lady took one look at me as I opened the door, I called her, she came flying up the steps to me(she loves my house for some reason), I scooped her up and carried her home.  The cop just smiled, shook her head and left.  Thank goodness.  I was half expecting her to be looking for Crusher cause he's so much bigger...

At least I know now why Crusher decided this morning would be a good time to go exploring...he must have known Lady was out.

Ugg...I actually slept last night but didn't want to get out of bed anyway.  It's finally starting to warm up here - I'll have to update my profile soon..

I'm a little worried about our trip this weekend.  I don't feel "ready" to go although I'm more than ready for a little time off work.  We are flying to Vancouver to visit my very elderly grandparents (97 and 93) and I feel really sad about it since it may be the last time I visit them.  This June is their 70th wedding anniversary - can you imagine!?!

M&M will be fine at their daycare/boarding but it is a little "spendy" (Minnesota terminology).

I just wanted to say that I'm totally in dog love with Bugs.  It sounds like he has got the sweetest, goofiest personality.  When people judge a book (or dog) by it's cover, they're sorely missing out on something wonderful!  Good luck Bugsy!

ME TOO!! I made tea last night and then went to the cabinet where I keep my pitcher - oops! Packed! Rinse, repeat about 100 times.

We did find an AWESOME townhouse on Craigslist for a really great price, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The lady seemed kind of nutso.

BF and I watched Juno last night, but I didn't really like it.

    • Gold Top Dog

Eh, I saw Juno too - wasn't too thrilled with it - but it def. wasn't the worst thing I've ever seen.

Did my final speech today! YAY! Passed with a B. Not too bad for putting no effort into the class....I really need to not procrationate so much next semester....

The pups woke me up this morning at like 7. Barking, rough houseing. I could have screamed. I felt so sickly last night, when I finally fell asleep, I never wanted to wake up again. So I threw the pups outside, and Casey and I went back to sleep. Until Riley started barking at the door to come back in.. grrrr. puppies. (I'll have to post pictures of Riley, I had been so wrapped up with Heidi, pictures of Ry were the last thing on my mind).

A friends been bugging me to go to the beach with him.... maybe I'll do that today.

I feel like I've seen SO many trailers, commercials, and clips of Juno I've basically seen the entire movie!
