    There is a GINORMOUS raccoon outside my window here at the office!!!  I have a wiiiide ledge outside my window (on the 2nd floor) that is connected to a staircase going up to the third floor which also has a ledge.  He is sitting up on the third floor ledge right now.  I phoned the animal shelter and animal control and unless it's injured they won't do anything!

    how do i make it leave!

    I'd just leave him alone - he'll go away when he wants to =]

    Now that I've finally got some sleep! Lol. I get to go up to the local college and apply to take their ABE courses for Bio and Chem. A lot of the colleges for Vet Tech training I've found want a grade 11 eq. of Bio and Chem. Which I don't have cuz I had no interest in it in High School.. *sigh* Serves me right for not caring when the time was right.. Oh well! I'm not that bad at it and I only need a C+. *crosses fingers*

     You can borrow Dakota. She's a good exterminator of raccoons, possums and moles.

    I spent alllll day today in meetings. The 1st meeting was frustrating because it was obvious nobody was prepared. The 2nd meeting was torture because we went line by line in the spec book making revisions. God. That was bad. I can't even begin to explain how bad it really was.

    I feel like I'm getting sick again. My psoriasis is flaring up again. That means my body is trying to fight off an infection but it's fighting the skin cells at my ankle instead of the actual infection......bleh. Psoriasis is a good cold/flu early warning system! So, the dogs get no exercise tonight. I'm just laying around hoping the rest will help me fight this off. Neiko just doesn't know what to do with himself while Lily and Dakota are content to chew on bones all night. I wish there was an easy way to tire Neiko out. Maybe I should let him chase the cat for a while;p  Of course, he'd probably rather lick the cats butt. He likes doing that. Sicko.

    roflmao - come on you know better than that!  How about throwing frisbees from the couch?  I will admit to succumbing to Bugsy when I don't feel up to exercising him to his needs and I just fill a few kongs or give him a rawhide so leaves me`alone - I know its not OK but sometimes I can't help it.  He's not one of those dogs that 'gets' you don't feel well.

    I hope you get some rest and bypass getting sick

    I have some mindless chatter to catch up on.

    Saturday night at work, DW broke a bone in her foot. She went to the doctor on Monday, her foot specialist. Compound fracture of the load-bearing metatarsal on the second to smallest toe. So, she's supposed to be off for two weeks but she might go back and do limited stuff. Our regular insurance still hasn't sent us the new cards but they are on the way. On top of that, I am paying for AFLAC on both of us, so she gets money for the break, the visit, the shoe they gave her. She gets money when she goes for a follow-up visit in two weeks. And, she's going to get worker's comp even though she went to her doctor rather than the one they usually send people to. She had tripped over a co-worker trying to hurry and get things ready for inventory and landed with her heg and foot under her at a funny angle.

    Yesterday was our wedding anniversary (04-29-2000). We had dinner at Logan's Roadhouse. Excellent food and a piece of strawberry cheesecake fit for a king.

    I've had dental problems, including a front upper incisor that had broken and was loose. I am scheduled to go in May 14 for that. Well, the break was just below the gum line and I finally worked it loose today. Now, I really look like a redneck. I used it for a gag. I had one of the guys slap me so that I could act like he knocked my tooth out. Hey, ya gotta laugh. I'm old and falling apart but it doesn't mean I can't laugh at it. If you exercise, eat right, get rest, don't smoke or drink to excess and reduce stress, sometime between 70 and 100, you will die. Destiny is 6 feet under. So laugh and enjoy.

     Grrrrraaarrrrrrgghhhhh!  I'm finally ready to put a few of my cupboard doors back on, go the old hardware shined up and looking nice.  I'm just gonna reuse the old hardware for now as I'm not really sure what look I'm gonna end up with in the end.  Anyway, the doors have been off since like October and I'm anxious to get at least some of them back on.  The Problem?  I have no idea what I did with the screws to attatch the hinges back to the cabinets...{{{{{{{head hits desk}}}}}}}}

     I finally finished my project. It took me freaking forever to do all the graphs and data. Partly because I do anything possible to avoid working (hey, my feet are looking really dirty, I should go wash them), and that I had a lot of data with things I didn't know how to do properly, so I just had to come up with it in other methods. I'm glad that's out of the way, and will be very glad when I'm done presenting it Friday night.

    I worked a night shift on frogs on Wednesday. That meant I got to languish at home for most of the day, being all domestic. There's heaps of cleaning to do as we've only just moved in and been so busy. I spent about an hour cleaning the pool. I'm so bummed we moved into somewhere with a pool at the end of autumn! It's a beautiful, inviting pool, too.

    Autumn frogs is usually crap, and swamp frogs the worst because our monitoring sites are badly designed. I did get to do Swamp 15A point 3, though. It's a pretty long walk in, but I love that swamp, and it's one swamp point with permanent water. Not only did I find frogs, but they were Littlejohn's, which is a poorly known threatened species. They are very pretty frogs. Saw 3, but forgot to take my camera so no piccies. Boo. I love Swamp 11, but only for birds. Maybe we'll get to do swamp birds tomorrow morning.

    Just 2 days until the weekend! Penny, Kit and Bonnie are moving in this weekend, and we're going to visit the new puppy and his sisters. I can't wait to have my furry family back.
