As awful as this is, and as bad as you feel, just think about the poor Rainbow Bridge. I think that Ginger is going to give every single dog a run for his/her money.

Watch out--Ginger's here and she's a pistol.

Bless her heart--and yours too. My thoughts are with you.

The woman has been described as a "nurse", but how much training and experience has she had? Is she a vet tech or merely a teenager hired to walk dogs and clean cages.

Either way,,,it was the clinics fault and totally inexcusable to not find Ginger,,,and keep looking for her until she was safe and sound in their hands. It is a nightmare to us as owner of the pet and to the clinic...but they did not handle it well. Not well at all. If any dog would run away,,,it is their total responsibility to find it.

She wasn't a nurse at all I found out later today. I found out she was just hired part time to clean cages and feed the dogs. She got a job there at the vet's through one of her family members that works there. She quit though after finding out I didnt get to bring Ginger home safe and unharmed.

You know guys I dont even know how I found this forum. But I'm so glad I did. You guys are the best. I dont even know any of you but you guys are so supportive and caring than any of the people I know in real life. My friends dont get me when it comes to animals. I'm glad I have this forum to come to and share good and bad stuff with.

I'm glad I have this forum to come to and share good and bad stuff with.

It makes SO much difference -- and I can TELL you what happened when Ginger got to the Bridge today. There was a SCAD of animals there -- all I-Dog puppers, pets and others many of us lost years ago. Why? Because it's my personal opinion that when we lift up prayers and good thots, word of those reach tall ears. And those we have loved then hear about it. And when Ginger went tripping over Rainbow Bridge, there were two big danes (Bubblegum & Blizzard) and little sweet April, Shadowgin's dog, my Foxy, Glenmar's Rusty, and so many others I can't even name them all -- and as Ginger buzzed over the Bridge she was met by a canine chorus of "HI GINGER!!!!"

That would stop even a little terrier! "Whoa!! Who are all YOU guys!!?????"

"FRIENDS" was the unanimous response.

Then one of the older and wiser explained, they had been told by the angels to watch for a little white terrier with ginger spots because FOLKS CARED!!! Because those I-dog prayers and good thots were powerful. And then the older/wiser one also said "You know your Mom was on her way -- she worried about you and just couldn't get there but her thots were on you, Ginger!! But the bestest part is that all of OUR people are helping your Mom now. She'll be lonely for you, and all our humans will help her!! Humans need that. We dogs? Mostly we just need a place to run, play, a few bones and a game of ball with each other -- but boy you were LOVED Ginger!! Just lookee here -- look at ALL of us dogs ALL waiting for you, Girlfriend!!! All 'cos sumbuddy loved you!!! HOWZAT????"

"Hmm, got any rabbits here? That Tico was pretty cooool!"

"yep, we got all kinds here -- and by the way, Ginger -- how's it feel to see in stereo? Didja notice you can blink with two eyes now? Trust me -- it makes it easier to chase a ball!!!"

"Wow ... ya think? You gonna throw yours fur me?? WOW!!!!" And off she went ...

Kle -- I'm so sorry, hon. This is not how I wanted this to end. but your honesty with your daughter -- what a wonderful example you are. You've had a rough couple of days and yet you get on here with thankfulness in your heart. You're one of *my* heros. My heart breaks for you -- may you have all wisdom to answer your daughter's questions honestly, but in the same spirit she asks them. *hugs* My thots and prayers won't stop.
