Julie I hope the sinus nightmare sidesteps you
We are still in the pine pollen dust storm and I feel like I need some new lungs.
woohoo we had our second distraction proofing class and after his initial obstinance that he must sniff everyone and everything Bugsy was AWESOME! I was super duper proud of him because I can tell the instructor really doesn't like the large dogs and was doubtful that Bugs was 'trained', I even had a word with him while B was sat next to me, that I'm in this class because he is so well-trained and in control normally but once he gets turned on he is impossible. That's what distraction proofing means to me anyway. But then B decided he would show his stuff and he was far and away the star of the class. At one point we were asked to do a string of behaviors with no verbal commands, something like sit, down, stand, down, sit, stand, sit, down - B did it so fast he looked like a West Point grad. He did get bored at the end of class and decided to watch birds out the window
Ah well.
Then we stopped as his girlfriend's and they ran around like crazy pups!
Oops, a few minutes ago there were 4 deer grazing in the neighbor's yard. I was trying to find him and didn't realize the deer were there and said, OK bud, which is his release. So he went into full fly mode and had to do an emergency stop when he heard the efence warning sound. Glad to know that still means something to him.
OK must get walking!
