Mindless Chatter - Thurs

    Mindless Chatter - Thurs

Today is going to be an 8:00 day. I'm not going in at 7:30.

Why can't it be friday today?

I had the worst sinus induced migraine last night and am afraid that it's going to happen again today. I feel the pressure, the headache just isn't there yet. I took some drugs to help hold it at bay.

Pirate Will. Not. Eat. Breakfast. I think he's upset because BF hasn't been home. Guess I'm breaking out the chicken and rice....

It's supposed to be rainy today, yay! My car has been parked under a tree so it's covered in pollen and tree bits. If it rains I don't have to wash it.

I think I'm skipping my music class today. It's super-boring and I need to get my house clean. And since it's going to be a mushy squishy day I think I'll make something in the crock pot.

Hope your headache stays away Julie!

Well last night was a bust for house work. I went to ride after work (I get out a 4) Pete was encrusted in mud again. By the time I got him cleaned up and ready to ride it was 6:45PM so I didn't get home until about 8:30 and still had to eat dinner. I did get the laundry done and all folded though. Tonight I am heading to Lansing. I am getting my hair cut and picking up the raffle basket I won at the Grand Rapids dock event. My friend collected it for me. I can't wait to see what all is in the basket. They had quite a few. I think they had neat leather collars in each basket, I am just not sure if it will fit any of my dogs. They all looked "medium" dog size my girls would need larger. It "might" fit Teddi.

I am really tired today. I wish I could have stayed in bed.

Julie I hope the sinus nightmare sidesteps you Smile  We are still in the pine pollen dust storm and I feel like I need some new lungs.

woohoo we had our second distraction proofing class and after his initial obstinance that he must sniff everyone and everything Bugsy was AWESOME!  I was super duper proud of him because I can tell the instructor really doesn't like the large dogs and was doubtful that Bugs was 'trained', I even had a word with him while B was sat next to me, that I'm in this class because he is so well-trained and in control normally but once he gets turned on he is impossible.  That's what distraction proofing means to me anyway.  But then B decided he would show his stuff and he was far and away the star of the class.  At one point we were asked to do a string of behaviors with no verbal commands, something like sit, down, stand, down, sit, stand, sit, down - B did it so fast he looked like a West Point grad.  He did get bored at the end of class and decided to watch birds out the window Tongue Tied  Ah well.
Then we stopped as his girlfriend's and  they ran around like crazy pups!

Oops, a few minutes ago there were 4 deer grazing in the neighbor's yard.  I was trying to find him and didn't realize the deer were there and said, OK bud, which is his release.  So he went into full fly mode and had to do an emergency stop when he heard the efence warning sound.  Glad to know that still means something to him.

    OK must get walking!

I had one of those migraines on Monday Julie...they are the worse!

Man do I wish today was Friday.  I have so much at work to do but just don't feel like doing it.  I wish that stupid other job woud call back and just offer it to me!  I am so sick and tired of waiting and have zero motivation to work on anything here.  They say I pretty much have it, but they are just waiting on a couple of things.  ARRGHHH!  So in the meantime we can't do anything but wait.

I got my haircut last night, took off about 6 inches.  I feel so free today!  Yeah!  I wish my hair was straight, or at least not so crazy curly so when it got long it doesn't look like I stuck my finger in a light socket!  But, short hair it is for me I guess.

I feel so sad because Riley wasn't awake when I left this morning and I didn't want to wake her up.  I love how she looks when she first gets up in the morning.  So groggy and sleepy.  It's the ONLY time in the day that she will let me snuggle with her.  That reminds me, I HAVE to go to Sam's tonight and get diapers.

Why is it people with straight hair want curls, and people with curls want straight? I like my hair shorter too but thinking I "might" want to horseshow I like the look with my hat on with longer hair. Short hair with a hat on makes you look bald in pics. Stick out tongue I get to get rid of the gray tonight. Since I permed my hair my last appointment it has been 11 weeks since I have had color. OH MAN is it looking bad. THANKS MOM!!!! My mother was completely white at 21, my brother predominately gray by 18. I guess I was fortunate I didn't see my first gray hair until I was 21. Call me vain I don't particularly care for gray hair on me.

    Way to go Bugs!

I have tons to get done today, & no motivation to do it.  BF & I are going out of town this weekend, so I should get my stuff taken care of, & stop messing around.  I have an appt for a haircut this evening, & I really want a new dress to take with us on the trip, so I'm going to run to Banana Republic during lunch to see what I can find.

The Beast is itchy today, and yesterday he had the poopies...hmmm... gonna have to keep an eye on him.  Perhaps the egg meal two days ago was too much for him.  or was it 3?  hmmm...3 I think.  I'm screwed if its the chicken.

About the hair.  It took me until I was about 29 to actually appreciated the curl in my hair.  I think it changed while I was pregnant with Kali into something more manageable.  That and hairstyles are so much more messy today so my hair fits right in!  LOL.  My niece does my hair and this time she took her thinning shears to it.  I have insanely thick hair and she thinned it out so much that at first I was nervous.  But now, it hangs nicely even if I don't spend that first hour out of the shower making sure it dries properly.  Plus when I do straiten it it takes about 20 minutes instead of an hour.

I appreciate my curly hair too. I can wear it straight or curly which I'm very thankful for!

P.S. I got my new GPS unit yesterday! I love new techy toys :) I've been playing with it all morning. I downloaded a station wagon like the one in vegas vacation to represent my car ;p

No more getting lost for me! yay

Before I picked up a fungus working in the garden I had a nice natural wave to my hair. It was also a dark blonde. Then my hair all fell out and came back stick straight and baby fine. And much darker. But, at least it came back! Since we've had some warmer weather we're going to try to get the tent up for the freezer today. There is less snow to shovel to make room and I think I can handle it. The tent is an 8x10 so pretty decent sized and the freezer will fit in it. I really don't like having it just sit under the tarp, and it'll also be nice to have a little extra storage room for stuff that I don't need all the time. Maybe the shop vac could even move out of the back of my car and actually live in the tent instead of my car! I really NEED that thing for defurring the RV though so don't want to put it back in storage and have to run over to get it every time I turn around. PLUS, the heat from the motor of the freezer will generate enough heat inside a tent that it will be much more pleasant to go and get things OUT of it for meals. Not much fun when the temps are still falling into the teens at night to need to get something out of the freezer for dinner! I also notice we're eating a lot of salad and not so many veggies simply because the VEGGIES are in the freezer! And, I really hate being cold. I'm really getting discouraged about the job situation. Still needing prayers for something to happen quickly!

I actually like my curly hair, but when it gets so long and full (I have enough hair for 10 balding men) it gets OUT OF CONTROL and then I get too lazy to do it, it just gets wild.  I am starting to notice stray gray hairs popping up here and there.  Right now we are doing the hunt and pluck (DH looks like a animal digging through my hair to find them for me) because I am avoiding the hair coloring...I know me and I won't keep it up.

Hey, for every one you pluck, three more grow back!

I know, but I am stupid enough to think I can keep up with it!  LOL

I've been plucking them out as well. They look really weird when they start to grow back though. I really don't want to have to start coloring it. I was also cursed with the early grey. My mom had to start coloring hers at 19. I found my first one at 23 and I'm 25 now. At least it appears to be a slow process.

My hair is curly if it's really short, but its wavy when its long. The longer it grows the straighter it gets. I have really thick hair and a lot of it, so it just weighs down the curls. I can't even keep my hair curled all day if I curl in the morning now. They fall out before the end of the day. I like it curled, but I like my hair long, so I just straighten out the wave most of the time.
