Ah, horse movies.....too many on my favorites list to name here, but one that always comes to mind is Phar Lap, love that movie, although I haven't seen it in a while as it is very sad.  Dog movies....this is probably dating me, but when I was a kid there was a couple of movies involving dobermans, they were trained to rob banks using silent whistles.  I think the first movie was called Daring Dobermans or something similar.  There was a sequel although the name escapes me.  I think it was a TV movie not a regular movie.  Thinking back they were probably pretty cheesy but as a kid I loved them.  I also loved the Benji movies.

P.S. Just googled the doberman movies, the fist one was called the Doberman Gang, the sequel was the Daring Dobermans [:D]

Remember the Wonderful World of Disney.  There were a number of made for tv movies on that program.  My favorite was Greta the Misfit Greyhound.  She was a track washout in the desert SW who ended up wandering to a sheep ranch and becoming the protection dog.  Rescue aspect, sheep, etc.  I loved that one.  So many others have losses that made me cry for days.

Milo and Otis and Snowdogs are two of my favorite.  Yes, I know, they're not big hits.  They are cute dogs movies that make me laugh, so I own them and watch them occasionally.[:D]

I was obsessed with Lady and the Tramp and 101 Dalmatians when I was 4. That's when I made my decision to beg  my parents for a dog. They finally caved when I was 7 and knocking on the neighbors doors with a dog biscuits in hand asking if "Dusty" or "Max" could come out and play.
So my parents got me a dog out of embarrasment. [8|]

Hmm I love Homeward bound, MIlo and Otis and i just got to see Miracle Dogs too its a cute movie.  I did like Snow dogs that was funny.  Horse movies would be Hidalgo, Seabiscuit, Phar Lap and Black Beauty the one they showed on tv in 1978.

I swear you're the only other person I know that saw those movies.  I absolutely loved them, especially The Doberman Gang.  That was the first I'd ever heard of Dobermans.  The funny thing is, I didn't see big fierce "man eaters",  I saw highly intellegent dogs that could be trained to amazing things.  Do you remember their names?  [sm=proud.gif]

I think the one dog movie that made the biggest impression on me and is most vivid in my mind is Fox and The Hound. I saw it the year it came out, I was 7 years old. I will never forget that movie. I wouldn't call it my favorite movie because it made me cry hard and I still get teary when I think about it today.

Turner and Hootch is my favorite.

Laughing is soooo much better than crying.
