    Where would you live (mrstjohnson)

If you could live anywhere, realistically, where would you live?  When I say realistically I mean no picking some tropical island in the middle of no where, you would still need to make a living, etc.

If I could live anywhere, I think I would live in the Southwest...Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada.  I could probably get a job down there and would LOVE the heat (yes I know it gets to be 110 in the summer, but it gets to be -20 in the winter here).  The only thing keeping us is our families and the fact that we haven't been able t find any kind of work down there.

I'd live in San Diego. I love it down there! The weather is perfect, I love the ocean, and it's still California which will always be home for me. Unfortunately, it's much pricier than this area, so the odds of moving there are slim.

    The mountains of West Virginia.

The state is so dang beautiful. Lush forests, hills, mountians, valley's, water, snow, summer, it has everything but a decent job prospect.

My husband has family and land in western WV, we plan to retire there.

Ideally...I'd love Savannah, Georgia or coastal South Carolina.  I also like Fort Myers, Florida (looked for jobs there, still not ruled out).  If in the USA, it would have to be west of the Mississippi River and below the "snow line".  Once we get a family started and our pets die off (sounds horrid but it's too stressful to move them) we will most likely move to east Africa (like Dar es Salaam, Tanzania) so DH can teach school.  Yes, that's a far off tropical place, but it is realistic and I've been there before.

If I left the US...Germany, Bavaria. If I stayed...pretty much right here. Things are reasonable...no weather I don't like. Access to most types of terrain if you are willing to drive a bit.

south lake tahoe, california!!!! it is the perfect environment for me. However...i'm not sure if there is a lot of farm land there and i really want at least 20 acres. Otherwise, maybe fort collins, colorado. I love colorado!

Well, my hubby could get a job anywhere, he's a computer geek.  So, we could live on a remote island as long as there is internet access!  lol  I love HI, and would move in a heartbeat!  All year round nice weather (for the most part), rain forests, mountains, ocean, sun, beaches, fishing, hiking, (snow) skiing (if that's your sort of thing), island hopping, horseback riding, shopping and much, much more!  But being we need to be close to on account of older parents and his mother (really) only having us to rely on, we'd be here for a while.  We would also like NC.  We vacation a lot down there in the OBX and would love to be anywhere near water.  One day, my DH, would love to be a charter captain, and me of course, would be the first mate, and we could do what we love best...being together, fishing, and hopefully, making money!  LOL
