I know, I've dealt with a bad one already and that one, well, that's ENOUGH FOR ME. This SHOULD be a lesson to all of those that bring their dogs to dog trainers. Screen, screen, and screen! Observe and the first TIME that trainer does something that does NOT sit right with you, run for the hills and don't forget your dog! There are some AWFUL people out there. And I'm sure these awful dog trainers aren't limited to Chicago. This is why, after my bad experience, I sought a positive trainer. A positive trainer may not always work with some dogs, BUT, at least you don't have to worry about your dog being physically harmed. Where the hell did this woman learn how to become a dog trainer, and I use that term very broadly, because I have NEVER heard using a shock collar to make a dog become more sociable. Who in their right mind would think that would an appropriate action? Good thing I never ran into this woman because if I did, I would've yanked the collars off those poor abused dogs and strapped them onto her, set it at the highest setting and would've had a good time. I don't know what's worse, the fact that she was doing this or that the dogs owners thought that what she was doing was a good idea.
