This nut has been giving trainers a bad name for a number of years now. Ami Moore used to be a member on this site...havn't seen her around in a while...must be to busy beating on poor innocent pups.
Anyway, I wanted to shed some light on the technique she was using with the collar strapped around the dogs midsection. This stems from very old SchH, Ringsport, and/or PSA methods. There are some dogs with such intense drives that they are impossible to get off of a bite sleeve or bite suit. Now, in most normal situations we could slip the suit or the sleeve to the dog and all is well, but if something goes wrong and we can't pry the suit of then steps must be taken to protect the decoy. Occasionally a dog will miss the pocket and get a grip that is around the arm or catches some skin. In those situations you have to be able to free the decoy, and the way that happens is to administer an intense shock to the dog.
This is NOT a training method. It WAS used to protect decoys back in the days of table training, and working dogs without obedience.
This woman should be prosecuted to the fullest estent of the law. I really hope they punish her severely.
