She's so pretty!  I love her markings, and her cute nose!  What a doll, you're so lucky.

    • Gold Top Dog

Ohhhh, I am so happy for all of you!  Gracie is just beautiful.  I'm sure Tyson will be a terrific big brother.

Thanks everyone for your replies! We are really very happy with our decision. Any guesses on a breed mix for her? She is lean and slender, with slightly longer legs than a pit and a thin face.
    • Gold Top Dog

I don't know.  She looks to me like a brown version of Chewbecca's Ella.  I know she's a mix too but I can't remember what she's mixed with.  How about we just call her an a DoraBull?

When I looked at the website this morning it said "adopted" and I wondered .... Good for you!!

Gracie was the other name I was thinking of (trying to think of famous "princesses";).  And I always like a call name to have "eee" at the end of it (as in Billeeeee, Lunieee Tunes and Keeeeeee) *grin*

Wow .. I know it wasn't the intent but they 'match' and make such a good looking pair. And you, of ALL people, truly understand the breed and your plan of no unsupervised 'alone' time is what it takes.

My very first dog, Prissy, (a pom-peke mix) was only about 6 months when I dragged her off the street.  She was still full of milk but I'm sure he drowned the pups and just turned her out.  It could be what happened to her, unfortunately.

The infection she had -- was it pyo?  Bless your heart -- she has been sick and she will likely be incredibly appreciative of a good home.  You guys rock!!!

    • Gold Top Dog

I have no idea what the infection was. In fact, we haven't had much contact with the rescue organization, cause she was fostered at BFs job for many months. The little contact that we have had, he has had, I've never spoken to them. What I do know, though, is that her hair is very thin, and BF says that its grown in some since she first came. Its hard to see, but on her face there is a clear line as to where the thinner hair is, almost like a mask.

BF is planning to call them next week to let them know that she is home with us now, and to get some more specifics about her. Ill let you know what I found out.

I saw her on the other site we're both on--can't believe how pretty she is!

    Now,

That is something she definitely needs to learn, how to sit still for the pictures... She always comes right to the camera, making it hard to photograph her! Tyson is just so used it it....

Another thing she needs to work on is housebreaking!!! Oh my!!! Ty was housebroken when he came to us.... she definitely is not!! We've got our work cut out for us!

    • Gold Top Dog

Gracie is the perfect name for her.

She is beautiful. I can see the difference in head structure betwee her and Tyson. Might she have a little sight hound in her, judging by the narrower elongate head and muzzle?
