Do you wash your hands.......?

I wash my hands after I dump the litter box tray. I never wash my hands after petting or feeding the animals, even before eating or cooking. So if you're ever at my house for dinner, you've been forewarned!

 I wash my hands after picking up poop or if I am examining a wound or a butt itch or penis irritation, but wash them every time I touch the dogs, alas no, I would need to wash them a hundred times and my hands would dry up and fall off.

 I think about washing my hands before I cook.

Otherwise, I wipe them on my jeans.  I guess my mama didn't raise me right.  The really bad thing is my three kids all know that they are allowed to wipe their hands on their own jeans, never mine. 

If I washed my hands every time I touched my dogs, my skin would probably fall off.  I have four dogs, they are always near me, on me, under me, or against me.  We play, we hug, we curl up in front of the pellet stove together.   I share things - ice cream, etc.   Only time I really think to wash my hands is when they have rolled in something unmentionable, which is pretty rare, except for Fergie, and she's getting too old to see where the crap is to roll in.  (Once, when she was a bit younger - she's 18 - she rolled in a dead mouse carcass - ewwwww.  That was definitely a hand wash day.

No, not every time.  Before preparing food, cleaning up after them,giving  Maizy her pills and cleaning of any of their body.

On that note, I found a dog hair in my soda tonight. *LOL*

If I had to wash my hands after every time I touched my dogs, I'd live in the shower.

 I am somewhat fanatical though...I do wash my hands before I cook, before I eat and after dumping poop, wiping her butt (don't ask) or poking around any other unsavory areas,

Emma sits in  my lap, while I eat. Yeah, I pet her. I probably eat dog hair, but I eat it all day at 

work (pet grooming) so what difference does a little Emma hair make? LOL

I definitely don't wash my hands every time I touch a dog. I kiss dogs on the nose, sit in dirt to

snuggle them better, etc etc. 

 Oh my gosh you guys are so funny!!  My husband thinks its gross that I kiss my dogs on the nose. But what's better that an nice dry cold dog nose to kiss?

I wash my hands frequently, but not because of my dogs.....I just got used to doing it........

LOL No. This same issue came up over the holidays on our visit home. 

I wouldn't wash my hands after petting my dogs any more than I would my toddlers LOL.
