My Thoughts Of THIS FORUM.

Gosh, the six german shepherds who live in my house don't slobber on the couch, they don't knock things over, toilet inside, chew things, etc, although, they do shed if I've been lazy about brushing them.  They are super high energy outside, but lazy bums INSIDE because inside and outside play are different.  It's amazing what a little training can do.

German shepherds are VERY smart dogs, you're right.  However, because they are so smart, they need to have mental exercise and constant training or they find not so great stuff to occupy themselves.

I think that on that note, I'll just bow out of this thread.

 I dont need a trainer to tell me how to train and how to teach my dog. My dog will learn how to act from how i interact with her. She is intellegent enough to learn quickly.

You know what the police would do around here if there were a dog habitually running loose causing problems that they couldn't catch.  They would shoot it.  In fact if that dog were endangering my dogs I would shoot it and be well within my rights under the law.  Is that what you want to happen to your dog?

You say the dog is not left unattended.  You outside with the dog under your control all the times it is out.  If not then the dog is unattended.

She loves out doors. If you know your dog enough to say she loves being inside with you...then respect me to know my dog enough to know she likes outside. lol.

Why would the police try to put a catch pole on your dog?

Well, anyway......in many areas dogs can get picked up by AC or shot if they become a menace.....you might not think your dog can be a menace, but I am sure someone might......

When she was a puppy i try to get her to come inside she scratches the door untill she is let out To go play with the neighbors dog. 

 OK, I was giving you the benefit of the doubt before but it seems like you're here to stir the pot.  Or maybe you just want to brag about your vicious dog being cooler than our pansy dogs?  Whatever.  But I have to comment on this post though.  It sounds like YOU are the one treating your dog like a human - you've let her make decisions and are rationalizing her behavior as if she were human.  I agree with the others here that you should expand your knowledge about dog behavior and training.  If you start setting proper boundaries for the dog now you can avoid potential for problems in the future.  Good luck.

I love my dogs and Princess was my baby even tho she was 76lbs I treated her and my other dogs like one of my nieces or nephews yea their dogs but why get an animal if you're just gonna have it sit there and do nothing or have it tied outside no point in getting a pet, no understanding the question really and some people not saying anyone on this site might treat dogs like their humans maybe because they can't have kids, I don't know

  It's two weeks since Princess has died I'm gonna leave what I said like that because I am on the Bi&chy side today sorry

No offense anyone, but you guys are feeding this.

I don't think he's done anything wrong but talk about how he feels about his dog.  Perhaps he is trying to be antagonizing but it's not been bad that I can tell so far.

I disagree with letting dogs run loose.  I've had to take a dog from someone because the dog was routinely let loose to do it's business and would kill neighborhood cats or dogs that were tied out.  So hopefully, if gahustle really does let his dog roam loose, that she does not have any prey drive and no neighbor's small poodle gets mauled to death by it because the poodle was legally tied out in the yard but his dog was not.

Hopefully his dog does not decide to kill the neighbor's ducks in their pens and get shot in the chest for it.  And then AC has to come and finish it off because it's still breathing.
