Positive pregnancy test..

    Positive pregnancy test..

To make a long story short, I found out on the 28th that I was pregnant. I was suppose to have my peroid around the 12-14th.. but I am usually always late. I only took the test because my BF was curious. It turned out to be positive, but wasn't clear, so I took two more. Still, they were not very clear, so I just assumed I was. I've been having cramps for about 3 weeks now. I got them right before I was suppose to start and they've never went away. In the past week, they've gotten worse.. to the point where I cry because they hurt so bad.

Now I'm not trying to be gross, but 2 days ago I started "spotting" or at least I assume that's what it was. However, yesterday I was bleeding. I'm not sure if this is normal or not. I've looked it up and some websites say it's not a "real" peroid, but it sure looks like one and then other websites say it's an ER type of situation. The bleeding started around 9pm last night, and I've had to wear pads because it's just flowing like a normal peroid. I've also got a lot of those black clots. I'm worried.

*BTW, sorry to ask about this on here. I've posted on a few pregnancy sites, but had no replies.*

I have never been pregnant, not even a close call. But my advice to you is either go to an emergency room and get examined or make the fastest Dr. appointment you can. I know from friends and family that spotting can happen, even a period while pregnant can happen, but the pain is my concern, you should not have sever pain.

    Keep us posted.

Yeah, get to a doctor or a planned parenthood center or something ASAP - they'll be able to give you good information, help, and moral support. I'm sorry, I'm sure you must be really scared right now!! Big, big hugs coming your way from me and the little guy!

Yes, go to a doctor.  I've miscarried several times and it's hard.  Sometimes it just needs to happen, but you definitely need to have a doctor look after you ... Holler if I can help.  Callie

I've miscarried 3 times as well, and for 1 of them needed a D and C.  Yes, please get checked out just in case you need medical attention.  It may not be that at all, but only a doc can tell.

What I was told was, sometimes a pregnancy test can come up negative even when you are pregnant, because the hormone that the test detects is still too low (sometimes happens in early pregnancy).  But if a test comes up positive, it's VERY probably accurate.  It's 90 something percent accurate, and if you had 3 positives, then it sounds like a yes.

I had some spotting when i was pregnant too, but cramps, heavy bleeding and the clotting would have concerned me.  Get yourself checked out.  And please come back and keep us posted!!

Isn't this when they scrape and get everything out? Does it hurt? Sorry, I'm very new to all of this. So if this is a miscarriage they absolutely have to do something to get it out of me?

I didn't mean to scare you...I was bleeding so much that I passed out.  That is obviously not the case with you.

No, it's very likely they won't have to do anything, other than check you to see that things are OK.  That's all that happened to me the other 2 times.  But you really should see a doctor!

definitely call your doctor. If you're in a lot of pain the pregnancy could be ectopic(implantation occurs in the falopian tube). That is something that definitely needs to be taken care of sooner rather than later.

I was going to say that, but then I thought, I don't want to scare you!!  **IF**  there's a problem (not saying there is, just IF) then that means there's two of you at risk, so it's better just to be safe not sorry and see a doc!

I hope you figure out whats going on soon. Yes that is how a D/C is done and no it doesn't hurt (well it never hurt me anyway), they put you to sleep to do it. I had to have a D/C after my son was born because placenta was stuck inside and was causing severe bleeding and pain. After the surgery I had some cramping for a few days and then it was gone. I just took some Extra Strength Tylenol.

I'm almost 15 weeks pregnant and I have been spotting and bleeding throughout this whole thing. In the beginning at about 4-5 weeks when my period was due I had a period even though I was pregnant and I had very bad cramping (first time I went to emerg.). For me though so far its turned out to be okay and the baby is fine. But I would definitely go in and find out whats going on.

This sounds a lot like a miscarriage to me. *hugs* Please do get to the doctor as they'll need to examine you and make sure everything is okay.

Oh no!  I really don't know much about pregnancies but my gut is saying that pain & spotting need to be checked out.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you have a favorable outcome.

You certainly need to be checked out..the clotting especially concerns me. I'd get in to be seen somewhere as soon as possible.

No no no -- in all the times I've miscarried (MANY) I've never had a D&C (and yes they hurt).  Often a miscarriage may just plain look like a blood clot (sorry to be graphic).  It can hurt like heck to miscarry -- or it can not hurt at all (it depends on a lot of things).

It's *what* caused you to miscarry that can mean you may need other help -- and the fact that you've had pain -- let a doctor figure it out.

It's scarey.  It's sad.  (Oh lordy, it can be SOOOO sad.  Particularly when you wanted to be pregnant to begin with.)

At your age I would be beyond astonished if a d & c was recommended.  Your plumbing isn't old enough to need it yet!  *grin*
