is it alright to be scared

My friend has a sign on her wall that says something like that.  They don't borrow the car.  They don't do drugs or drink... and if they get pregnant you can sell thier children.  It's kind of funny.

At the moment, I'm surrounded by german shepherds.  Sheba, as usual is laying in my chair, I've got several laying in FRONT of the couch and Tyler holding on to the PRIME real estate, up here on the couch with me, his head in my lap.....despite knowing that I'm gonna do my search and destroy mission on his blowing coat anytime I happen to spot  a clump ready to fall out.........you've just got to be touched by this kind of love.  They could be ANYWHERE in the house, or out in the yard, but they wanna be with mom.............

Glenda I don't know how you stand that much dogs near you and following you around. I amire  you!! I have three that follow me around the place and I'm having a hard time not stepping on Mocha or Eli especially when it comes to feeding time. Blue keeps out of my way.

We are all hoping for your sake that your pup will be happy and healthy.

The ONLY time it bothers me is when I'm trying to move around and actually accomplish something.  If I'm sitting around on the puter or reading, then about the only place I'm gonna go is the bathroom or the coffee pot, and with ALL of them up here, I tend to get followed LESS than I would with just a couple.  They're really big enough NOT to step on, although I have tripped over them a time or two.....

I am not a breeder, but I am very impressed by the know how that Jaime and Glenda have, they are very good at what they do and I would trust them on this.

    Thank you!
I work very hard to educate people on not only my breeds but what to do to protect themselves from back yard breeders and puppy mills as well as finding the right breed for their lifestyle...it isn't always easy and it isn't always welcome. But it is definately worth it when I am thanked for efforts

I have to agree with Glenda and Jaime that this would not be a breeder that I would use.  It's very tough to be that disappointed, but, frankly, if she didn't take sufficient care with the dam, who's to say that she really knows what the heck she's doing when choosing a mate for her bitch?  This is a breed that can have lots of health problems, not just the ones that can be tested for.  So, if she is inexperienced, that may show in the results of her breedings.
While you may get a good pet, and have no problem, chances are also great that you might get a huge, not to mention expensive, headache.  JMHO

After purchasing a puppy from a reputable breeder and having to return that puppy due to health problems.  The breeder has been very stand up, lots of vet tests, money back etc.  I would not take the chance of that devastating heart break again.  It about killed me to give that little girl back.  Some puppies appear to bounce back after a shakey start (premature) and still things go bad.  I returned her at 5 months.  So the bond had been very well developed.  This puppy was euthanized and a necropsy done at UC Davis.  This breeder is SERIOUS about producing good puppies.  I would want the same from any breeder.

The heartbreak of loosing a pup is not something that I think folks can understand unless they've been there/done that.  Especially the young think that "it won't happen to me"....I remember being young...it stretched the memory greatly, but I do remember just KNOWING that stuff would never happen to me.

These pups had such a rough start in life and I'd be seriously concerned about future problems.  I'd rather forfeit the $150 than have a lifetime of medical bills that I could have avoided, but with age comes some sort of wisdom....maybe not much, but some.

I'm so sorry you had to return the pup.  I know that loosing Mr. Ears so suddenly, at 5 months, dang near ripped my heart right out of my chest.  And HE told me that he had to leave...we had a chance to say goodbye...but it still killed me.  I so hate the thought of a young person having to deal with that sort of pain.

im not goin  to pay 2000 dollars for a dog tho sry
    • Gold Top Dog
no one asked you to.  But you may be paying FAR more than that in medical bills very soon.
    • Gold Top Dog
Just curious, what ARE you going to do if this dog needs medical care that is beyond what you feel like you should be paying??
    • Gold Top Dog
    i will pay the bills

Since when do Boxers cost $2000? I don't even think a show quality Boxer costs that much. I was friends with a guy whose mom shows and breeds Boxers. Last time I spoke with her, her pet quality Boxers were $600.
