Goes to show, if your current vet isn't  doing the job, it's time to go elsewhere.

Ain't that the truth. I hope Olive feels better very, very soon. Sounds like she has great people helping her!

Trust those instincts!  I had a pup who (one week after I got him) had an upper resp infection that turned out to be distemper.  They pushed a lot of drugs and he recovered, although with distemper teeth and a muscle twitch in his right front leg (which went away after a couple years - I'm told this is highly unusual).  Everyone told me - oh, puppies sleep a lot.  It felt wrong and I took him to an ER vet on a Sunday night because I KNEW things weren't right.

You've got Olive to the right place and you're only job is to love and support her healing as much as possible.  If you can visit, do that and tell her how much she is loved and that there is an internet thingy that has crazy people and dogs on it sending her healing wishes.

Keep us updated!  And please post pictures.  We love pictures!

Thank you for the feedback.  Olive is home now after being in the hospital for four days.  She was on doxycyclene and now back on Baytril.  I'm glad I got onto this forum.  It's giving me hope that she will recover from whatever it is ailing her.  She's very frisky but I'm keeping her in since the temperatures here are currently in the teens.

So many good vibes for Miss Olive.  I hope she kicks whatever it is she's got.  Please tell her that there IS a group of crazy dog people that are pulling for both of you.  Get better Olive so you can enjoy your furever home!!

PS: we might need to see a picture of Olive so we can send more powerful vibes.  Ah, who am I kidding, I'm shamelessly begging for pictures of your girl.  Big Smile
