    • Silver
    1) How many dogs do you have? Two

    2) What breed and age is your dog(s)?
Joey - 16 month old Chinese Crested (powderpuff)
Trigger- 2 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback

    3) Do you crate your dog during the working hours?
Crate joey , and Trigger runs loose. I come home at lunch break from work and let Joey out to play & ;potty for my hour lunch.
    4) Do you also crate for sleeping hours?
Nope joey sleeps under the covers , trigger sleeps between me and my fiance'

What is your daily routine like with your dog?
Wake up @ 5:45 am , both dogs get up with me and come into the bathroom while I get ready , I think they like the space heater in there because they insist on coming in with me ! Take them out before I go to work. fiance is home with them for most of the morning . Come home for lunch from work and let them out . Come home after work and feed them , take them on their evening walk , play with them. Take them out throughout the evening and then we all crawl into bed!

    5) How much time is alloted and what kind of exercise do you do with your dog before and after work?
    See above, but it varies.

    6) Do they go outside alone in a fenced area (just open the door and wait for them to come back in), or do you go outside and "play" with them in the wee hours before work, or do you walk them elsewhere?
No fence on our property so when Trigger is outside he goes on his run  and joey i take out with his retractible. Joey isnt outside alone , we have 2 bobcats that live here on our property and I dont trust leaving him out there.

    7) If you have multiple dogs; are they exercised together or seperately?
Together, usually they excercise each other , haha

    8) How do you expend the morning energy they have, or is your dog less active and not require it?
They do hot laps throughout the house [:D]
    9) Lastly, how quickly does a dog's digestive system work? Do you walk, feed, potty break again before you leave or is the initial morning walk enough of a break until after work.

    2)  What breed and age is your dog(s)?  Joy is 6 months, Border collie

    3)  Do you crate your dog during the working hours? I dunno...dad works from home and usually takes her out when I'm at school.

What is your daily routine like with your dog?
    For Example:

    5)  How much time is alloted and what kind of exercise do you do with your dog before and after work?  15 minutes of heel work before school, coupled with 5 minutes of tuggy. One hour of running around in the back yard after school before homeowkr. Crated. When homework is finished, she gets a 45 minute walk/jog in the marsh bike trail near my house.

    6)  Do they go outside alone in a fenced area (just open the door and wait for them to come back in), or do you go outside and "play" with them in the wee hours before work, or do you walk them elsewhere?  Our yard isn't fenced, so we have to keep her on a long line or her flexi. I walk her everywhere: trails by my house, my backyard, to the park near my house, the marsh, the lakes

    7)  If you have multiple dogs; are they exercised together or seperately? I take Joy to my moms, but they can't currently play together because she has two intact dogs and Joy isn't spayed, and I'm paranoid about getting Belgian Collinhuahua Terrier pups[:D][:D][:D]

    8)  How do you expend the morning energy they have, or is your dog less active and not require it? Playing a rousing game of tug o' war

    9)  Lastly, how quickly does a dog's digestive system work?  Do you walk, feed, potty break again before you leave or is the initial morning walk enough of a break until after work.  Feed, walk, potty, train, play, potty. She usually poops after walks, and pees before I leave.

    1)  How many dogs do you have?

What breed and age is your dog(s)? Brownie Beagle 8 yrs, Cuddles Cocker Spaniel 6 yrs, Possum Chi 7 months, and my baby sitting dogs that I have once a week are Colbi Lab 5 yrs, Max Border Collie Lab X 3 yrs, Baxter Mini Schnauzer 2 yrs.

ime is alloted and what kind of exercise do you do with your dog before and after work?  I wake-up and let Brownie and Cuddles out to potty by themselves in the fenced in yard for 5 mins, then I go out with Possum in the back yard for 10 mins for her to potty and a little play, then they all get fed, I go out with all three and we play for about 30 mins. Then a 20 min play or cuddle inside and I'm off to work.

I have Colbi, Max, and Baxter on Saturdays so heres that schedule. I wake-up and let Colbi and Max out for about 20 mins w/ me so they can potty and then a light game of fetch. Then Brownie and Cuddles come out by themselves w/ me and we play for about 15 mins and potty for them. Possum then comes in the back for 25 or 30 mins with me to potty and play. Then they are all fed and Max, Baxter, and Cuddles are let out to potty by themselves for about 20 mins. Then Brownie and Cobli go out by themselves for about 10 mins. Then I go out with Possum for about 2 or 3 mins in the back. Then I just hang out and do some chores around the house. After that Brownie and Colbi are leashed up for a walk just around the block. Then Cuddles and Baxter come running with me on my bike for about 30 mins. Then Max is taken for a walk for 1 1/2 hrs. Possum I then take to the small dog section of the park and work on her training. Then its nappy time. Then I train Brownie and Cuddles in the drive-way for their new tricks. Then Colbi, Max, and Baxter are trained there too. Then Cobli, Max, and Baxter go home. Then dinner and another potty break like the one after breakfast minus C and M and B. (the dogs usually also pee during walks and training)

    3)  Do you crate your dog during the working hours? Brownie has free run, Cuddles has her own room, and yes Possum is crated.

    4)  Do you also crate for sleeping hours? Brownie has free run, Cuddles sleeps with me, and Possum is crated.

    1)  How many dogs do you have? 2

    2)  What breed and age is your dog(s)? Maggie, Border collie mix, 9.5yo and Ziva, Corgi mix, 19 mo

    3)  Do you crate your dog during the working hours? No
    4)  Do you also crate for sleeping hours? No

What is your daily routine like with your dog?
    5)  How much time is alloted and what kind of exercise do you do with your dog before and after work?  Before work the girls get a walk of between 15 and 40 mins depending on my time availability and the weather.  After work, my DH takes Maggie on a half hour walk and when they get back Z and Maggie wrestle periodically throughout the evening.  I get home late most nights so Z may get a training session after work, but other than the two nights a week she has a training class, that's it.

    6)  Do they go outside alone in a fenced area (just open the door and wait for them to come back in), or do you go outside and "play" with them in the wee hours before work, or do you walk them elsewhere?  No fenced yard, so they're either off leash in the yard with supervision or on a tie out for bathroom duties; they get walked off the property for exercise and socialization.

    7)  If you have multiple dogs; are they exercised together or seperately? Both, see above.

    8)  How do you expend the morning energy they have, or is your dog less active and not require it? They're used to the schedule so it works for them.  They do tend to do zoomies or wrestle with each other in the mornings, but we don't have to do anything special to get them tired.

    9)  Lastly, how quickly does a dog's digestive system work?  Do you walk, feed, potty break again before you leave or is the initial morning walk enough of a break until after work.  I get up, walk, then feed.  The dogs get out at lunch for a midday potty run, then again when I get home and before bed.  We've had no problems with this pattern, even when Z was a puppy, though we did take her out more frequently when we were home since she was loose in the house vs. crated.  Now both dogs are not crated at all and we have had no issues.

    I have 6 Rhodesian Ridgebacks

From 19 months to 10.5 years

My dogs are alternated in their crate time. Always for feeding.  1/2 at night. Everyone is crated if we are leaving the house for any legnth of time.

They are let into the back yard as a group. The younger ones play with higher levels of energy and together. The older ones enjoy running the yard to keep track on passer byers on the other side of our 6 foot wooden privacy fence. The back yard is about 1/3 + of an acre fenced.

Dogs go out for a potty first thing, then they come in and eat.  After eating they go back out for another 1/2 hour to hour play break. But the second one is calmer , making sure we are not over doing as the fear of bloat in a big chested dog is always there.

They hang out in the house for a few hours and then out again before they crash for the big nap for about 2 hours.  Out again for a potty break then play time or hang out time. Thankfully having hounds they are great about being couch potatoes ! In the evening they are in and out a great deal with the last time being about 9 pm . They normally crash till morning.  Puppies get some play time with toys and wrestling. Adolescents get working time, practicing heeling and show gaiting or stacking until the feel emotionally happier.

IF we are on the road the routine is modified by walks to make up for the lack of running together.  I am always concerned about dogs on the road developing a UTI. So we are dedicated to the concept that an empty bladder is a good thing.  Plus after traveling with other people's dogs I will not take the chance of developing a shy bladder or pottier. My kids are taught from puppy up to potty on command. I tell them to " Pick a Spot" or to "Kill a Bush" and they are fairly quick about relieving themselves. A dog not trained to potty on command tends to wander and worry about pottying or like my friends' mastiffs and wolfhounds they will refuse until they get a patch of unused grass etc. It is too hard to assure you will always have the optimal sopt so I prefer to prevent potty attitudes from developing in the first place.
