1) How many dogs do you have?
Just two.
2) What breed and age is your dog(s)?
Bloodhound mix, pushing 6 (Conrad)
Coonhound, around 3 ish (Marlowe)
3) Do you crate your dog during the working hours?
Conrad is crated. Marlowe was crated, but was barking and disturbing neighbors, so he gets his very own room, but not access to the rest of the house. They dogs are not in the same room.
4) Do you also crate for sleeping hours?
No. Both adults, heavy sleepers, not necessary.
What is your daily routine like with your dog?
For Example:
5) How much time is alloted and what kind of exercise do you do with your dog before and after work?
Ideally, a 40 minute walk before work. Husband and I walk the dogs seperately, he walks Conrad, I walk Marlowe. With Marlowe, I sometimes give him a regular walk and sometimes take him to the park for free time on a 30 foot lead. DH always just give Conrad a regular walk. And I say "ideally" because if we're pokey about getting up/getting dressed, that cuts in to walk time. After work, I walk both of them, but mainly as a "leg stretch" rather than actual exercise. That's between 20 and 30 minutes. Sometimes however I take them to a fenced ball field in our neighborhood and let them run off-leash. That's usually once or twice a week.
6) Do they go outside alone in a fenced area (just open the door and wait for them to come back in), or do you go outside and "play" with them in the wee hours before work, or do you walk them elsewhere?
Our yard is fenced, but small and pretty much for potty trips only. Very little actual playing happens out there. They get walked around the neighborhood. We take weekend trips to the "real" dog park near us, where they can run and romp and play with other dogs.
7) If you have multiple dogs; are they exercised together or seperately?
Seperately in the AM, together in the PM. They just do better walking by themselves at least once a day. Together they start to act like they're racing. Seperate walks also give me a chance to work on training issues with whomever I'm walking (usually Marlowe but if Conrad needs work on something, we can trade).

How do you expend the morning energy they have, or is your dog less active and not require it?
I have to pry the dogs out of bed for their morning walk. And even if we're being pokey about getting our coats on and stuff they'll go back to bed and we have to go get them again! Marlowe, who is black, tries to blend in with the black cover we have on the futon that he sleeps on in the hopes that I won't see him. In the evenings, it's another story. I allow them to play in the house, we go for our walk, I will do some training with them, etc.... By 8 PM they're both down for the count again. Very low energy dogs.
9) Lastly, how quickly does a dog's digestive system work? Do you walk, feed, potty break again before you leave or is the initial morning walk enough of a break until after work.
Conrad has an admirable bladder and bowels. He can hold it for insane amounts of time, and often chooses to if the weather is bad and he doesn't feel like going outside. The initial morning walk is enough. They get let out as soon as I come home, then we go for another walk, then Marlowe at least gets let out after dinner (he tends to need to pee at precisely 7 PM every night, regardless of whether he was just outside or not), then they both go out one last time before bed.
Hope that helps you figure your schedule out! Five dogs! Wow![:-]
