Ratsicles
The 3 feral barn cats get Purina Cat Chow, which I know is crappy but they barely pick at it. More than half of their diet is rodents that they catch themselves.
Funny thing, when I saw a feral cat at work, I decided to feed it as it looked so skinny! I shopped around for some kibble and noticed that the Purina cat chow was one that listed a meat-by-product vs. a grain, first on the list. Yeah, I know by-products are garbage, but I thought it was better than a grain being listed as first ingredient. Plus, I took things like bacon drippings (training treats for dogs) and skimmed fat from stocks, and mixed that up into the kibble. Started easy, then increased the amount. In about 3 months, this cat was unrecognizable! It gained weight, and coat became shiny, it was waiting for me every morning!
Edited to add: I got in touch with a local rescue and we tried to trap it, but this cat would NOT go into the cage. We did catch a few pet cats, though - LOL. Yes, they were returned to rightful owner.
