    oh, good question hmmmmmm
I would ask jake this why are you obssesed with seeing food ?seriously he has to watch your food while your eating every move it makes Sophie just lies down ands waits. One more question I know only one but I'd just have to ask this why do you think bella is some sort of prey animal you've sniffed her butt She should smell like any dog.[:)]I would ask sophie if she ever had been to herding class and what would be her idea of a fun day?

Look at my avatar I got a pic!!!Isn't it cute It's sophie laying with my little brother when he came over during winter break.

    Are you happy?

I know that he is.  Fact is that he has a better life than the vast majority of children in this world.  But I still want to know if he's really happy.

    Hmmm...
I would ask Lille "What can I do to make you more comfortable?" She is an old gal and even though she is on supplements, etc I wish I knew exactly what hurt, when it hurts, etc.

Dasher: "Is there anything I am doing that you want me to do differently?  Do you like going to dog shows? Why do you freak out when SO coughs?" [:)]

My friends and I were just talking about this last night, are questions were pretty similiar, mostly what was your life like before you were adopted by us.
I want to know why my dog is terrified about getting baths.  I gave her one last night and I look like I was attached by a tiger.  I am covered in scraches.

To Bailey I would want to know...   Is there anything we could do to make you happier?

I would like to just be able to tell her something really and that would be to not chew up our stuff when we leave the house.  We will be back, were not leaving you.

    Yes, as others have mentioned...

I would ask my dog to tell me her story. I often wonder about this dog, who was clearly trained yet terrified and mistrustful of people.

Her perfect little sits were more like "appeasements" rather than compliance with a command. She did not reconise my playful body language at first, seemed very unsocialized, uncomfortable around other dogs, noise sensative, terrified of water in any form, etc. I think she spent most of her time locked in a crate and lived with humans who didn't understand dogs very well.

She was turned into the shelter as a stray at age 1 1/2, so there is no history about her past at all.

Gosh, I have so many questions for Cherokee. At first I was thinking there wasn't really anything I'd ask her. Then I realized there's just SO much I couldn't think of individual things.

I want to know if she remembers having puppies. She was only 9 months old when she had them, and I always wonder if she remembers them.

Does she remember my aunt's husky we lived with for the first 3 years I had her, or my other aunt's dog she played with all the time?
Why does she hate Jaz (my sister's dog, who lives with us, but they're always separated because Cherokee just cannot seem to be nice to him) so much? I'd like to tell her that even though he's bigger than her, and has a mouth the size of her head, he won't hurt her.

Also, is she ever in pain? She's 8 1/2, and had a very rough first year (puppies, neglect, abuse), and I just didn't ever expect her to be doing this well at 8.

And of course, what does she think about? When she lays calmly looking out the window, what is going through her mind? When she chases down a cat, because they're doing something she doesn't like, what is she so worried about them doing?

Too many questions... I'd love it if she just started talking one day.

hmmm..I have alot of questions I would ask since all the dogs were rescued.
I would ask Raja- If she ever thinks about how old life and how much her life has changed?
I would ask Lacey - What her other owners did to her that made her so depressed, she still acts sad and also depressed to me. And I would ask what her parents breeds were.

What a great bunch of questions......
Too bad none of us love/worry/obsess/care about our dogs.[;)]

I guess I'd have to ask two questions, the second being:
Is Buddy really your brother? (Buddy came from HS too, though one county over, adopted on the same day as M - we met in puppy school where the trainer thought they might be litter mates from the way they "recognized" each other and were inseparable buffoons at every class after that. Surprised we got any training out of it.)

I would also ask mine what her life was like before she was rescued (they found her as a stray), basically about her past. Also why she is aggressive around other dogs and very anxious around strangers.

To Gaia:  Why are you so reactive around other dogs?  What can I do to help you?

To Xerxes: Why are you so hungry all of the time?

To Dodo: Why is it that you're all cuddly, purry and snuggly one second and then out forblood the next?

If you could ask your dog one question and "hear" the answer, what would your question be?

I ask them questions all the time, and they answer quite clearly, as long as I'm listening[;)] And I'm not being silly, or talking about "do you have to go outside?" They really do answer me. Even Teenie is catching on to the "talking" thing.
