If you could ask

Since I adopted both boys as adults, I'd love to ask them what they were like as puppies, and how their previous owners treated them.

I'd also like to ask Blitz if he's enjoying our agility trials.  I'd never want to do them if he wasn't having fun.

    Good question!

I'd ask Grady how he feels & if he's hurting anywhere.  Mostly I'd want to know what I could do to make his life even better.

Aspen I'd ask if he's truly happy here & why is he getting anxious?

Actually good idea - I would ask Scout what the heck her life was like before she was picked up by the pound. Did she ever have owners? What were they like?

Let's see ... What were your original owners like?  Why were you out wandering on a county road at such a young age with no ID tags?  Did you run off and get lost or did someone just dump  you out on the road? Why do you  have a "thing" about us filling in the holes in the back yard, even the ones you don't really dig in anymore? Are you happy with your life in general?  Are there any major changes you'd like us to make?

To Buddy, I would ask what happened to him in the seven months he had no home.

To Scamp, I would ask how bad his arthritis really hurts and if the medicine does work.

To Corbin, I would ask why he must destuff anything and everything he sees!

And also, do they know how deeply I love them!!!
    • Gold Top Dog
I would ask.."what would make you the happiest?"

one question - thats a tough one
I think it would be how did you get to be a stray, how long were you out on your own, and what breeds were your mom & dad?
OK more than one question but thats what I would like to know

Since Rupert has HD I'd ask him If he's in pain, and how much. I think about it all the time. Because he never shows discomfort or seems upset. But I know his poor hips can't feel good.

Billy -- What did that little blond b*tch do to you and how often?  (when he was in foster care before he came to us some little 5-8 year old blonde girl terrorized him -- they placed him with us BECAUSE we did pet therapy and because they thought he was SO GOOD with children ... and we've never been able to do it because he is completely and totally FREAKED OUT by little girls -- particularly blonde ones -- it's taken us 2 1/2 years to begin to desensitize it *sigh*)

Kee Shu -- oh baby, how old are you?  And how can I convince you that you *can* come to me for comfort and I won't ditch you ... ever.

Luna -- explain to me what you are thinking when you tell me "No, I'm not going to do that" when you know I'm going to come and get you, put you on leash and we'll walk thru it anyway.  You aren't going to get beaten, you aren't going to get hurt or thrashed ... but yep, you do have to come when called!  It's not an option to just say no!  *sigh*

    Do you like Cesar Milan?

    Haha!  Good one!

I"d ask Kato if he's content and happy, and what would he like us to do differently?
    • Gold Top Dog
Pepper - do your hips hurt?  How old are you? and Where were you before we adopted you?

Tasha - How can I make strangers not scary for you?

Kota - How can I make other dogs on leash not scary for you?

Shadow - BF says "where do you go when you disappear for 2 hours?"

I'd want to ask my dogs what their life was like before we adopted them. And I'd also like to know why Grey thinks cat poo is yummy.

I'd ask Zoe why she doesn't like to eat, is it the food or her mindset.

I'd ask Gromit what his life was like before we got him and why he's such a scardey-cat!
    • Gold Top Dog
To Zoe I would ask what happened to her before coming here.  (She was abused, skinny and had saggy nipples like she had just raised a litter of puppies) I would also love to know what her parents were.

To Gracie I would ask why she is such a scaredy cat, I try my best to work this out of her but she is the jumpiest dog ever.

To Maggie, what is this obsession with toys?

To Lucy why cant you be still?
