• pofi_pasquale Posted : 3/31/2006 9:30:05 AM Jean - you can see Denali?  Man, I'm jealous.  when I get used to my negative scanner, I'll have to show you some of my pictures from my Denali back country adventure - we had astonishing weather and the mountain was out for 4 of the 5 days we were backpacking.   I know there are vehicles named after these fantastic places, but I think of the places first and vehicle as an afterthought, if at all.    I like Denali, because it's Alaska and I think it is Inuit - is that right - love Sienna, but that's medieval Italy and saint's relics and the Pallio - not sure it connects with an Eskie.  There are glacier names and island names...Kiska?  I like Kenai, too.  Matanuska.  Maybe too much of a mouthful.  Chitna.  But Chena is prettier.
