We used to do 1, 3 mile walk per evening.  However, I am now a bad dog mommy and we don't do any regular walks.  It was way too hot in the summers so we always did our walks in the evening and we had 2 seriel killers on the loose in our general part of town who struck in the evening hours, and often targeted those out walking.  Then I got pregnant and had some complications.  The weather is finally nice, the seriel killers have been caught and I just haven't gotten myself back in the habit of walking them (of course I am still pregnant and have an even harder time getting around now, but I bet the walks would be extra good for me).

No daily walks. Prince has 2 acres to run around on and I take him to my moms property (over 80 acres) to run around as well...he goes there 2-3 times per week. We play fetch and do tons of 'hide and seek' games in the house and clicker training to keep him mentally stimulated. This time of year when it's not rainy, muddy, cold or dark I take him for a 4 mile bike ride. In the summer I take him at least 3 times a week.

    Daily walks: 3-5
Distance: usually 1/4-1/2 mile 3xday and anywhere from 1.5 to 5 miles once a day, then 10-40 minutes at the off lead dog park.  (There's alot of really nice trails in this area so the walks are fun for me too.)

Ooooo, you have a jindo! Love!

Breed and age: Pembroke corgi, 11; Swedish vallhund, 4; Boxer/kelpie, 2.

    # of times/day: 1 daily walk, usually, plus play ball with the cross and other dogs sometimes join in.

Distance:  We usually take about an hour, which I guess is probably around 5km or so. Which I guess is around 3 miles. Sometimes we do longer ones and sometimes shorter. And it depends on how insistent the pups are on plodding along and sniffing at every clump of grass. Once a week we take them offlead, usually takes 1.5-2 hours and involves a lot of swimming in the lake.

Gypsy, almost 7 YO Am Staff.

We go on two walks a day, about fifteen minutes in the morning and at least thrity minutes in the afternoon.  We go EVERY day. If the weather is nice, we will go for a third walk if I have time.

Usually, once a day, 1/2 mile to 2 miles, depending on weather. Short walks may still take some time, if we are tracking mouse scent in a field. On days off, sometimes two walks. One in the morning. One later during errands/socialization.

He's in the yard when we are both at work, so he has time to run. Plus play after walks. Obedience, mixed with play, sometimes mixed with play and treats.

We go out twice a day.    Sometimes it's a 30 minute -1 hour walk around the neighbourhood, sometimes it's a 1-2 hour off-leash walk in the woods, sometimes it's a 5 minute walk down to the beach or park and then she plays off-leash for 40 minutes to 2 hours.    We live in a small apartment, so this is all the outdoor playing time she gets.

We walk for 20 mins in the morning and then for about an hour to an hour and a half in the evenings.  We also have a huge yard where they can let off steam. [:D]  I think the walks are more for me than for them... It's more work for them to play fetch and wrestle than walking with me. [8D]

We don't walk off our property on a regular basis, but they have a large yard to play in here. I take them one or two at a time for an occasional romp in the fields across from us. They also take turns going with us  for rides, which means they get to get out and explore wherever we are going.  My three youngest would prefer to never leave their yard and house, but I take them on short excursions for socialization purposes.

I have 2 dogs, and I only have time for 1 walk per day. (Not enough hours)

Usually I take them both at the same time. If we go for a walk it is a 2+ mile walk through the neighborhood. Lately we have been running the Lab 3 times a week. We take her to the school which has 20 acres and (I'm on a bike) we make 3 revolutions with Belle setting the pace. First lap she is flying, second a nice "lope" and the third I try to slow her to a trot, but she still has too much energy.

We also have agility equip at home so we can do that in the back yard too.

Maxine goes for the walks, plays at the park when Belle runs and we will get back into that routine, once she is healed from her TPLO surgery on bed rest until next year.
