Yes, it annoys me too. The way I see it, if you want a dog bad enough, you're willing to accept all the things that go with it. All of it's faults and imperfections and puppy rage in the middle of the night and destroyed shoes, etc etc etc.
Asking if a puppy can be left alone for a number of hours a day is like asking, Can I leave my 6 month old baby home alone with no supervision while I'm work? Will it be a friendly dog? I don't know, are you willing to socialize it with people, loud noises, other dogs, cats, birds...etc, etc, etc
And who cares of the dog sheds? It's one of the many wonderful things that go with our furbabies. If my vacuum cleaner was able to stock up on frequent flyer miles, I'd be able to go to Australia and back. Twice. [
