Can somebody help me to find out my dog's age?

I think she is too big for being a Chihuahua? Maybe?

She is 28.5" long, from the nose to the end of the tail.

17" height from ground to the top of her head, standing.

13" high from ground to the top of her back, standing.

No, probably not Border collie. Papillion/Chihuahua is my guess. Not even Pap/BC because we've had a couple of those in rescue, looked nothing like that.

Too cute for words, that's for sure! It's hard to tell from the internet about the age - a vet can give a guess but I've known them to mess up by a LOT if the diet is good, the teeth are well-cared-for, or if the dog just won the genetic lottery on teeth buildup tendencies. If your dog is very young they can tell, or if a dog is very old they can tell, but it's just a guessing game in between.

    Good luck!

    I am crying now.

This is my very first dog and I just love her to death.

Is anybody can tell me for sure her breed and her age?

    thanks a lot

    Your dog is very cute.

With a mixed-breed dog you might never know the breeds.  There could be 2 or 10.  People can only guess based on sizes, shapes and features.  This is even harder just with a few pictures over the internet.  People have posted good guesses already.  The teeth are the best way to guess the age and there are no photos of that.  It would be MUCH easier for a vet who can actually examine the dog, but even a vet may not be able to tell you exactly the age or the breeds.

    Why are you crying?

It sounds like you are describing puppy teeth... but I dunno.  Can you take a picture of her teeth and post them?

How long did the person who gave her to you have her?  Where did they get her?  Why did they giver her to you?  How long have you had her?  Have your brought her to the vet yet?  (Thats the first stop with a new dog - the vet.)

We are trying to tell you her breed.  There are so many mix breeds it's hard to tell what she could be for sure. I don't even know what My own dogs breed is for sure and I have had her for almost 2 years. You said she is a bordie collie, which you have been told she is not.  We can not tell a dogs age by looking at a picture. She could be an adult small breed, she could be a puppy. With just looking at a picture it's very hard to tell.

Why can you not see a vet?

Why are you crying? Did I miss something?

If you post some pics of her teeth, it will better help. Or you could take her to the vet, which is necessary anyways, and the vet can give you a better estimate.

Have a vet check her out.  A lot of times a vet can give a pretty good estimate of age by looking at a dog's teeth.

Not that I have any knowledge about again dogs but, she looks pretty young to me. I was guessing about 2 but...it sound slike a puppy with the sharp tiny teeth. Good luck finding out. Let us know okay?

[:)] Angel is right. A lot of us don't have a clue what our own dogs are.  We might be able to make an educated guess, but we don't know for sure. So ... dry your eyes and enjoy that gorgeous pup. You may never find out exactly what breed she is, but in the long run that's not what's really important.

Okay I just showed my husband the picture.  Here is his response:

This could be the results of a female chihuahua that could not out run a horney male border collie.[:D][:D]

you could have have fooled me, by the pics she looks a lot smaller than that! Besides, she probably isn't standard chi hieght because she is most likely a mix. i'm still saying chi/papllion, that tail says papillion all the way!

My best friend has a chi/papillion mix and she looks just like that and is the same size and build as yours.I would definitely agree. She is not a border collie but is adorable .
