This is the reply I got back from Discovery Channel. A form letter and a rejection, showing that they don't seem to care to even directly address my question, even if only to reject my direct proposal outright.

They couldn't say, no, we cannot or will not organise a national ad campaign against puppy mills and pet stores that sell them the puppies. It's just a generic rejection letter, suitable for use only if I run out of toilet paper.
I have to say that I am disappointed. They'll show the animal police shows where puppy mills are raided but they won't help to stop them. So, now, we have to think of something else.
