Is ron2 AWOL?

When I first joined this forum, it kicked out just the name Ron, as evidently someone else with that name was a member or whatever. So, ron2 it is.

Ron2 Ron2 Ron2.. there said it three times fast. lol
Kind of like saying run too run too run too, where I am going to go???

I keep a pen clipped to the visor of my work vehicle. Sometimes, when I lean forward, my hair catches the pen and takes it with it, giving me a yellow berret that can write. So, if I want to write something off of the top of my head, there it is.

[sm=rotfl.gif][sm=clapping%20hands%20smiley.gif] Nice visual by the way... Thanks.......

Ron, do ever wonder where in the h e double hockey sticks you put your pen, and how long does it take for you to realize you have a yellow berret tha can write???

Think you should patent that idea too. Think about it.... can't loose your pen and if ya needed a spare..  well there ya have it.!

**Still rolls around laughing at the visual.....** [:D]

Oh yeah? Back in 1987, I got to meet Dave Clark, from the Dave Clark 5. "The name of the place is I like it like that ..." In 1982, I got meet the Association "Along Comes Mary."

Dave Clark was living in Dallas and the Association was on tour, playing small venues.

The entire Marshall Tucker Band and got all their autographs on the cover of "The Best of" after chasing down the tour bus in Phila down one way streets after their show with my best friend screaming at me freaking out that we were going to get arrested...

Tommy Shaw(Styx) after chatting it up with his limo driver to find that after playing in Phila he was staying at The Hylton in Cherry Hill NJ...which was only about 15 minutes from my house..boy is he a short guy!!!

Bruce Springsteen, back stage at Phila

Warren Zevon at a small bar in Phila

Patti Smyth near her home in Mantua NJ at a mutual friends cookout

South Side Johnny and Rusty the drummer on the tour bus after sitting next to Rustys parents at the show

Cinderella, Jon Bonjovi & The Hooters when they played the bars in NJ

I went to school with Pretty Poison(good local band, had one hit back in the 80's that was a top 10 and in the movie "Hiding Out "Catch me I'm Falling") The drummer Bob Corea used to sing to me in Math class [;)]

Of course the dates of these events are very foggy and I know I'm missing someone...I can't imagine why?!?!

    ROFL!!!
Lets just say I had a very colorful, experience related time when growing up..I was the chick in jeans, t-shirt, flannel shirt and moccasins at all the concerts since I was fortunate enough to live 20 minutes Phila...of course I've changed a lot over the years. My kids have a lot to do with that...I had to settle down and grow up [;)]

Oh yeah,,,now I remember...Todd Rundgren!!!! I wasn't old enough when he was in Nazz to know but when he was with Utopia I met him a few times and also when he was touring solo.
Another quick meeting was with Joe Perry when he was promoting "The Joe Perry Project" a solo adventure away from Aerosmith..it was a radio promo called flap Jacks and bug juice..played on summer camp.
I don't know how this sets but we sold a puppy many years ago to the head of Led Zepplin's US security team. It was a blast sitting and talking with him and all the experiences. He gave us a couple of old back stage passes wich I have added to my Rock & Roll collectibles

Oh yeah? For a brief while, I was a security guard and I have body guarded Natalie Cole (daughter of Nat King Cole) and the son of the Shah of Iran. The company I had worked for had also provided security detail for "Dukes of Hazzard" cast and production.

I've met Ray Wylie Hubbard ("Redneck Mothers") several times. Shake Russel, who helped Clint Black write "Nothin but the Taillights" back when Clint Black was unknown.

By going to "Oldies Fest" every year we've met some neat people, like the Grass Roots "Temptation Eyes".

My friend, Lee, the one who passed away last year, was friends with the body guard of Sonny Barger. As in, Sonny Barger, longest running president of the Oakland Chapter of the Hell's Angels and considered by most to be the godfather of the club. I've also been friends with the MC Rebels and the Banshees, clubs of local reknown. True, they aren't celebs, but good people, nevertheless.

Biggest brush with fame: the father of my first wife lived on the same street in Dallas as our current president when he lived in Dallas. It was standard for Dallas Police and Secret Service to follow us until we pulled into my FIL's house and went in.

I was in the audience at the Beatles concert in Boston in 1964.  Went on tour with the Pat Metheny group in the 80's driving one of their trucks.

I bumped into Wayne Cashman of the Boston Bruins at a tack shop once (as in collided).  And, I slept with an Olympian once at a rest stop.

(I knew that would wake you all up.  It was a horse!!!  And, just a little shuteye in the trailer to take a break from the road glare and too much coffee LOL).

Anyway, the highlight of my life thus far is that I, too, admit to being a ron2 groupie.  (Did you notice my new sig, ron???)
