    Is ron2 AWOL?

I was just noticing that ron2 hasn't been posting, did I miss something??  Did the mothership float by and he got tractor beamed by Elvis' love child who amazingly looked a lot like John Wayne?
Did he go on walkabout?  Doing good deeds? Righting Wrongs? Did his cape get stuck in an elevator door again?  Where the heck are ya ron2??  Stay tuned til next time when we hear ron2 pop his head in and say, "Hey guys! I just realized where I parked my......!"

Did his cape get stuck in an elevator door again?

It has gotten stuck in a few places.

Sometimes, I read without posting. Either I don't have anything to add or I figure it's other people's turn to hash something out.

I've been working from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., then get stuck in a 30 minute traffic jam, taking nearly an hour to get home and I still have to go to the store. So, I get about an hour of i-dog in the morning and close to an hour in the evening.

Sometimes, I think people find me more sociable when I'm silent.

I was initially going to change over the electrical service on a house and the guy wanted to do it today. Plus, they had secured this permit on my number without paying me my fee. But, to the point, the proper procedure is to have TXU turn off the power, I do my thing, an inspector inspects it and then phones in a power release to TXU, who turns the power back on. The guy I'm doing this side work for wanted me to change over TXU's lines hot (energized) and I'm not a big fan of that, plus, I'm not wanting to get a reputation in Plano, of doing things out of sequence. After all, this permit is on my name and license number, we will do it my way or I will take my number off of it and they can find another master. So, after my regular job on Monday, I'll be over there in the afternoon, they'll shut the power off and the house will be without power until Tuesday. As it is, I will be at my regular job today. I've been roughing in another house all week and that's going to have to drag into next week, as well.

AAhh haa!  Very busy feller.  I was just realizing that when I joined this board, I was on leave from work for a surgery, so I was able to log in most anytime I felt the urge.  Now that I am back to work, I don't see so many of the regular faces b/c of my limited times to login.
    Now, about capes and ponytails.....
Occasionally I have my hair in a ponytail, especially to run errands.  While driving down the freeway, I had my window open for air, but it was so windy I rolled it up.  Didn't think anything of it and I bet you know what is comming....    I park at WallyWorld, go to get up out of the car and nearly yanked four dozen hairs right out of my head on the spot.  OOwwwieeeee!!  I had to sit down, roll down the window enough to let what's left of my hair out, and sat and rubbed my poor scalp for a minute.  Now when I close my window, I get a hold of my hair *first*.    Jules

I am learning the ropes of having long hair at my age. Most of my past places of employment required your hair to be neatly tied up into a bun.. Yuck! Or your hair neatly groomed short. Since I now do my own thing so to speak, I decided to grow my hair long b/c I've never had long hair before. So I can relate to getting hair caught in windows, seatbelts and my newest, getting caught in my armpits.... Ugh!

And Ron, you may read, but you have to respond even if you have to create a new thread. Love your sence of humor and you always make me laugh. I also enjoy your wisdom and or insight to many things on a serious tone.

I'm a true Ron2 groupy! Did I say that right? lol

    OOwwwieeeee!!

I would have probably used a few more colorful words. I keep it in a ponytail because I have to wear a hardhat at my regular job. On a side-job I may wear a ballcap or a headrag (to achieve my hulk hogan look). If I carry a bundle of pipe on my shoulder, half the time, I catch my tail between the pipe and my shoulder. My toolbelt has suspenders and when I am wearing it, I sometimes catch my hair under the suspenders.

But I look better with long hair than with short hair and I can get away with it. Before, it was because I was everyone's favorite ditch digger and it doesn't matter what you look like digging a ditch. Now, I am a master and it is my license that qualifies the company I work for, so again, it doesn't matter, because it is my license that gets us electrical permits.

    Aye aye, captain.

Now, can you say ron2 groupy, three times, fast?

I also have a love/hate relationship with my long hair;) Tonight, Emma threw up in it. THROW UP IN MY HAIR!! ARG!!!

I've been missing you and Shadow around here, too.... You need to make more time for your devoted readers;)

    Good question regarding ron1.  [8|]
I've had long hair for a while, I just cut one foot off to lighten the load so now it's down to the middle of my back.  I have caught my hair in lots of painful places.  The real joy is my kids climbing up onto my bed in the morning and a little knee placed on my hair or worse yet in the middle of my chest...Aargh..  Thankfully they have lots of babyish hugs and kisses and lovins for me.
I dunno if I am a ron2 groupy or not lol.....but it is pretty obvious when you don't post enough....Jules

Ron, I can soooo relate to the long hair stories!  When I was a teenager, I could sit on my hair.  My hair is very, very, VERY thick with lots of natural curl.  Those curls get tangled up in everything. I can remember getting it caught on my backpack hooks regularly (OUCH) and having to pull it back before I went out to spilt firewood (it's tough to split the wood if your hair is in the way and you can't SEE the wood!).BTW, I want to see YOU in a do-rag! OMG, you have GOT to be better looking than HULK HOGAN, for cryin' out loud!!![&:]

I keep a pen clipped to the visor of my work vehicle. Sometimes, when I lean forward, my hair catches the pen and takes it with it, giving me a yellow berret that can write. So, if I want to write something off of the top of my head, there it is.

One of these days, I'll just have to get a pic of me with a head rag, though I've also wanted to do a pic of my hair down, ala Glenda's pic. Kind of a Marlene Dietrich vibe.
