    Sweet tea or unsweetened tea

Summer is here, I am drinking tea by the gallons....I prefer unsweetened......sometimes with a little lemon....how about you guys?

    Sweet!

I use a package of splenda that comes in a pack like kool-aid for my tea.

Unsweetened for me.. I don#%92t even understand the “sweetened tea thing”.. in California there isn#%92t such a thing.  I actually brew a fresh batch of tea at home almost daily and I do so year round.   I usually stick to decaf teas and I mix part flavored tea bags with plain lipton teabags.  On occasion I will add orange slices to my ice tea pitcher for more flavor and I usually add just a tiny bit of splenda to the ice before I add the hot tea in.  I doesn#%92t make it sweet, but it takes a little bit of the edge off if there is gonna be any bitterness.

Ice tea is my favorite thing to drink and there is nothing better than a fresh pot!  [:)]

Yeah well, you gotta understand how things operate where I live now....the south is different from my home state....you have to make sure it is unsweetend tea when you go out to eat, otherwise....without warning you are sipping on sugar water flavored with tea....[;)]

That's for sure!  It's sickly sweet in the South.  I order unsweetened and add a bit of sugar to it.

Well now we are going to see who are the true southerners that were born here,  Sweet tea is one of the tests[:D]

That's the only way to drink tea!!  My Mawmaw uses 2 cups of sugar per gallon!  I love it like that!

    Unsweet here.

It's sad that when I go into a restaurant down here, I have to make sure that I order "unsweet tea" or I get syrup instead.[:'(]

LOL!  I can't drink unsweetened tea.  I was raised on sweet tea.  My dad even put it in my bottle as a baby.  I guess that's what's wrong with me today!

Few places offer sweet tea, I add my own. And your right, some places here offer tea syrup[:-].

I order tea unsweetened with a a little lemon and sweeten it myself, usually with fake stuff like Equal.
