They are beautiful!  I have a Bearded Dragon, but would love to have more reptiles...I just don't have the space.  My friend is trying to get me to take her three Leopard Geckos, so we'll see [;)].  The Wildlife Center I volunteer at has so many beautiful, however not properly cared for reptiles.  I am going to try and get some pictures of them tomorrow.  Thanks for posting yours!

Oh my goodness, your lizards are gorgeous!! The snake is so very cool too, but I have to admit, I find them a little scary! [:-]

That iguana is just stunning. His/her (?) color is so vivid!! I've always wanted an iguana....hmm....[:D]

    Thanks guys!
Ripple is my heart lizard, lol.

All of the others pictured are my boyfriend's lizards. I actually wish we didn't have so many, cause I'd rather have something else decorating our house than tanks.... but... were committed to them.

Im not crazy about the snake, Im actually afraid of it too, but, its no big deal, really.

Thanks for all your kind words!

Wow!  We had an Argentine Boa before.  He was mean as hell!  How is Coal's temperment??  I'll have to post some pics of our snakes!
    • Gold Top Dog
Coal was mean when we first got him. He would hiss like mad. Now, though, hes not so bad.

I don't handle him at all, though.

Our's was EVIL!  He would be fine one minute then bite the next!  I never handled him but I got the bright idea to stick my tounge out at him one day while hubby was holding him...  He almost bit my tounge!!

I LOVE reptiles!  They make great pets because they are all fairly easy to care for...well compared to many other animals.  Snakes are great because you just feed them once a week or sometimes every two weeks and they are good.  Right now, I have a Crested Gecko named Chopper because he got his tail chopped off...ok, maybe not "chopped" off, but its gone.  I adopted him from work that way.  Or maybe its a her, I dont know!  I have a pair of Mexican Milksnakes, Charlie and Charlotte.  An amelanistic cornsnake who I just got a few months ago but its 6-7 years old.  I don't know if its a male or female but I'm taking it to the reptile store tomorrow to find out.  It came with the name Popcorn, but I think thats a dumb snake name, so it will be getting a new name.  And sometime next week, I will be getting a Kenyan Sand Boa.  I sent the payment today and she will be shipped to me next week!  Next on the list is a male Kenyan, and at least one Rainbow Boa.
And all of this is owned by a girl who grew up being scared of snakes!  My mom is terrified of them and routinely calls me from CA(Mojave Desert) freaking out because there is a snake outside or in the road..."uhhh...mom?  what do you want me to do about a harmless little snake from halfway around the country??"  Most of the time when she sees a Cali King I say "did you catch it for me???"
Don't fat tails and lepards have the sweetest temperments?  They are so laid back!  It looks like your iguana is very friendly too.  How long have you had her?

That Argentine Boa is beautiful!!  My BF in college had a white-lipped boa that was amazingly beautiful.  Mostly black with bright white lips but his scales had a rainbow sheen to them.  Amazing.

Me I have a Ball Python named Mickey.  He turns 13 this year in September.  I've had him since he was less than a year old.

    Colleen,
The iguana is semi friendly. I don't handle him, though I used to have an iguana that I handled all the time, but this one is a little too crazy for me. He has calmed down over the past couple years, but still not calm enough, IMO. We have probably had him for close to 5 years.

Yes, fat-tails and leopards really do have nice temperaments. My fattails are much more laid back than even the leopards, though! Thats why I love em!

I've had cresteds in the past, but for some reason, I didn't have great success with them.

    Tashakota,
That white-lipped boa sounds gorgeous, though Im really not a snake person! Eeeek!

Only reptile I have is Gollum my RES. I like turtles out of all the reptiles....chameleon's are probably a close second.

    Gina,
I've never had a turtle before, but my last roommate had two RES. I find them to be so cute when they are small, but they really do require a lot in terms of water changes.... they get stinky!

What I *did* want, though, for a long long time, was a Hermann's Tortoise. They are so so cute, and don't get very large. But, we've decided that we are done with reptiles, and once these are gone (they live out their lives or are rehomed.... though I don't think they will be rehomed, we haven't had much success), we won't be getting anymore. Its a sad decision, but one that we have already made.

Gollum's outdoors almost all day and night now. We'll be building him (or her I guess?) a pond out back when he's bigger. For now the big rubbermaid container is working great and the water changes are a snap with a 5 gal bucket. In Fall/Winter he'll be inside in our 30L tank in the kitchen wall. I change that water with a wet/dry vac and it's also pretty easy. Thinking of getting a filter tho.
