People use to bum cigs from me. Their excuse was they were trying to quit. I finaly got sick of it and told them they weren't trying to quit smoking just quit buying them.
I smoked for 32 years ( I started when I was 14, Im really not that old) I quit 35 days ago using the Chantix.I did wait until day 14 of the chantix instead of day 8. I was a heavy smoker.. I would rcommend Chantix to anyone who wants to quit. You still having cravings but they are tolerable..

I don't smoke myself, but I was wondering: is it considered rude if a person smokes around their non-smoker friends? Is a smoker supposed to ask if the others mind him/her lighting up or something?

As a non-smoker, I'd say it's generally polite to ask if they mind. I don't usually mind myself, except when I was pregnant and if I have my son with me, or if we're inside my house.

I agree that it's polite to ask. (Of course I am also the kind of person that orders non-meat items when I am out with my vegitarian friends because I know often times it makes vegitarians feel sick to see meat so why ruin their meal when I can order something aside from meat? That's just my policy....)
