Nikki Burr- Your drawings of dogs, and I especially love the "hounds”, are truly remarkable. You have quite the gift to capture their elegance, beauty and silliness all at the same time.

    Thank you!!  [:)][:)][:)]

Annie (gradyupmybutt)- I consider you one of the best people on this board. You are caring and compassionate. One of the things I love most about you is that I feel as though you TRULY care about my dogs. Like you have taken the time to learn about them intimately. When you ask about them, it feels as though their "aunty annie" is inquiring about their wellbeing. I will never forgot the pride that you showed and the pat on the back you gave me on one of my "progress" threads. It meant a lot to me and I thank you. [:)]

Anne (spiritdogs)- You are steadfast in your beliefs and you truly put the welfare of dogs above anything else.  I've learned alot from you and hope to continue learning from you.

Cressida (houndlove) The fact that you have hounds in the city, well behaved ones at that, means so much to me, a fellow hound lover.  They are the most amazing of creatures and I know it's never a dull day when there are hounds involved.

Rupert's Mom, I absolutely adore that red dog of yours.  Those floppy ears and sad (yet happy) eyes always make me smile.  You always have something positive and uplifting to say.

Maria, (Talus' mom) I also adore that big ol' DdB, and I'm so glad that he got better.  You are a devoted dog mom and I really appreciate you sharing those wonderful stories, and those big slobbery Talus kisses with all of us.

AngelTrudelle: You always have nice things to say, and even when things on the board seem to heat up, your posts remind me that there is a real world out there and more important things to do.

Ron2:  Your candor and ability to get your point across even when there are other issues clouding that point is amazing.  (You cut through the BS very well [;);)  I also love your devotion to the arctic breeds and their care.

Glenda:  You have always impressed me with your gentle guidance and you have shown me that sometimes a diploma on the wall doesn't mean as much as raising a singleton puppy and being it's littermate, or coming home and finding an avalanche of stuffing where a couch used to be.

Gina:  For sharing a great deal of your life on the forum and somehow still being able to take some really silly (and possibly very embarrassing) pics of your kids and post them so we could all laugh with you.

I'm leaving out too many people, so I'll come back later and revisit as many as I can.

I think this thread is the best one I've seen the whole time I've been a member here.

So to start off, Shelly- Thank you!

I know I am going to leave a lot of people out. I think every one of you on this forum have at least one amazing quality that I appreciate but I'm just going to do a short list and I'll add to it later I'm sure.

    The BULLIES!

Off the top of my head thats Rebecca, Aliezia(sp?), Badrap, Sillysally, Sooner, Dipsticks mom, ...I'm sure theres more but I can't remember. I have tremendous respect for all of you. I know that everyone of you are doing the best they can to shed positive light onto this wonderful breed. I literally sit and cry when I watch the videos that I see you guys posting(especially the pitbull blues song Rebecca, haha), and I'm not even an emotional person! But I know how much I love Thor and how much he means to me, and what a wonderful dog he is. And I get so much negative feedback from the general public that when I see someone fighting for the bullies it reminds me that there are good people left out there.
And not just the owners of this breed, but the WHOLE forum comes together on this issue and it makes me feel wonderful to have found a group of people that understand and fight to do the right thing.

Ottoluv- Thank you for being able to do your job. I am headed into nursing myself and I strongly believe it takes a strong person to do your job day after day. You are an inspiration to me.

Callie-You are such an amazing person to go out of your way as much as possible to truly help the members of this forum. I can only imagine how blessed the people you meet day to day in your life are.

Ratiscles-You remind me that I can always do more and help more. I think you are truly amazing for rescuing and providing for as many animals as you have and I think you will have a wonderful shelter when you get up and running.

Ed(xerxes dad)-I think you are an extremely compassionate and sincere person and I am very proud of you for all the progress you have made with your beautiful hounds.

Houndlove-You are also one of the people I am proud of for all the work you have done with your two. And I promise, I will send you some of my water. I know how much you want it, and I think you would be an amazing parent.

Speaking of parenting, Rebecca- Your dedication to your son is truly inspirational.

I don't know this person's name, but her son Deacon has been struggling with diabetes and I have been rooting for you guys. I'm so glad that things have taken a turn for the better and everyone is doing well now.

Gina-I want to thank you for helping me through my puppy situation. You honestly were a tremendous help and I can't thank you enough. I honestly don't believe the puppies would have made it if I hadn't come here for help.

I know I'm leaving so many people out right now but I think I've typed myself to death for the moment. I promise to come back later and add to my list because I know there are people that I'm forgetting to mention.

Thalie, for her concern about Nina's ant bites.  It was sweet of you to ;pm us to find out how she was doing.

[:)]COME ON PEOPLE… lets get to giving!  This thread was meant to be a “teamwork building” activity and to spread positive vibes through out this forum that could really use it right now. I see lots of you lurking on this thread, but very few of you are bothering to actually say something nice about another person on this board.  CERTAINLY you can find something nice to say.[;)]

I REFUSE to let this thread and its purpose die. I have over 25 more “warm fuzzies” already written out and I will use them one by one to bump this thread over and over if need be. AND,  I certainly have not even written out all the genuinely nice things I can say about fellow idoggers that I have learned in just a single year of being here.  So,  I guarantee I can keep this thread going for a VERY long time just by myself if need be. BUT I am asking for your support by being  giving to someone else….[:)]

OK - this is probably pretty lame, but ...

For all of the members on this board, I was a new dog owner and had no idea what to do.  When Charlie had an emergency tooth problem last year so many people responded with compassion and support. I couldn't believe it!!  I knew at that moment I found a place where I could chit chat about Charlie, DH, my job, my life, my baby, everything.  I don't have a lot of friends in Milwaukee and it's sad, but this forum has become my friend away from home.  This is where I turn to express myself about anything and everything.  Things have been pretty heated around here lately and it's sad to see so many people unhappy with this forum when I look at what we have here and see a group of people of that love their fur babies and have so many other things in common.

    Oh, and one more...

Gina (rwbeagles) - thank you for looking for me when I was gone to have Riley.  It felt really good that I was missed and you were looking out for me.  Plus, I just love your beagle babies [:D]

    LOL....okay...

Meilani....your CrackHead pics and video clips are just so funny, they really add to my day when you post them. I also like your wit and "for reals" attitude. [;)]

I started reading this thread because I was hoping to read positive thoughts (since there has been so much negativity lately) and was surprised to see my name (because I normally don't post much in this section so there's not many that know me).  So... the warm and fuzzy game lives on!

I'd like to start my list off with Cathy (cakana).  From the instant I wrote in the Rainbow Bridge section, I made a connection with a few people and Cathy was one of them.  She's caring and loyal, quick to offer genuine support & good thoughts... it makes me think if ever I met or talked to Cathy in the real world... it would be just the same as it is here.  Instant Friendship.

Tracy (tacran) was also another I met on the Rainbow Bridge section.  From the moment we shared our stories of Tonka & FeFe, another instant friendship began.  Her thoughts & feelings are so eloquently written that I often find myself nodding in agreement when reading her posts.  She's supportive, understanding and fills me with faith... I feel as if I've known her for years.

Callie (calliecritturs) responded to my first post on the forum (Happy 1 year Idog Anniversary to ME![sm=party1.gif] ).  I was frantic, needing information, hoping to hear that my newly adopted Trixie would be OK.  What I ended up with is a friend full of knowledge and support that she gave not only to me & the fur kids but to my Parents and Mamaw as well.

Pam (Hollysmom) - she lost her sweet Holly a year ago this month.  She battled with guilt over a new puppy that ended up reminding her more and more of Holly everyday and bringing more joy back into her life (much like us with FeFe & Trixie).

Thanks for posting Warm and Fuzzy.... it's nice to read good things from everyone [:)]

Ok, I'm gushing on and on here but I was thinking about all the really nice people I have met on iDog.

My first PM ever was with Julitza- LizzieCollie.  She is probably the sweetest person I've ever met, and so dedicated to helping everyone.  She's got her hands full with 2 kids, the dogs, the cat and still helping with her family.  I really miss her postings.

Chewbecca- You are a fantastic mother Rebecca.. not just to your furkids, but to your human kids as well. I admire the challenges you take on in your life and your ability to work through any issues. You do your research, stick to things and see them through and work hard to offer your children and dogs the very best you can.
    • Gold Top Dog
Gina - you seem like you'd be a fun person to hang out with IRL. Down-to-earth, funny, and you don't take yourself too seriously. I've really enjoyed reading about all the members of your family and their little escapades! You also seem to work really hard to be a stabilizing force in sometimes insane threads - I know you try your best to knock reason into these chaotic messes without hurting any feelings, and I admire that a lot.

To jjsmom:  For your humour and positivty.  For your thought provoking signatures which never fail to make me smile.  For your passion for your breed and the time you take you educate newcomers about the much misunderstood and understated grey.  For the wealth of kind things that you have found to say about other members - and not just on this thread.

To cita:  For your kindness and the obvious patience and compassion you have for your dogs and those around you.  I cannot recall a single negative thing that you have said about or to anyone.

To ron: For your direct yet polite manner, for your open mindedness and for your good humour.  There should be more like you on this board.

To callie and brookcove: There are very few members who write looong posts that I can tolerate.  When I see a post by you I positivly relish it!  I just know I'm in for an interesting read and I know I will learn something new and be forced to think of something I "knew" about from a new persective.

And to everyone who has given me a warm fuzzy feeling  by PMing me with kind words - you know who you are and thank you! [:)]

Theres more but I will save them for another time and keep this thread suitably bumped!
