We're so deeply affected by their absence because our lives were profoundly affected by their presence. ~ Tracy (tacran)

Missy - I just noticed this in your signature but that reminded me of Tracy and she too is one of the nicest people I've known on this forum. Sadly, I remember what a really difficult time she went thru when Tonka was ill and they eventually lost him. Her love for him and all that she did to care for him made me realize that she was a really special person. [:)]

Candace (huskymom)- It says a lot about you that you would choose to spend so much time trying to talk your friend out of buying a puppy from a "shady" organization.  Your dedication and passion were very apparent in your thread.

I, too, want to give a shout out for Mud Puppy. Quite blunt, but able to create a compact phrase or sentence that can clarify something into razor sharpness.

Thanks to Dog.com for providing this forum. And thanks to them for being the only place I knew of to get a freezable dog cooler mat. And it was the mod of the ferret forum that helped me with my order. And thanks to them and the mods and admins for listening to our ethical concerns.

Well, I have a whole bunch, but they end up being more thank you type things than "nice" things to say about someone. Certain people on here have really helped me in ways that I'm sure they aren't aware of so my notes keep coming off as thank you's because, well, that's what they are! Is that o.k. for me to post?

that is just fine... as long as it is something nice about somone on here then post as many times as you like! [:)

One of my first posts here was about whether or not I should keep Ash. Sadly, many of the members that responded are no longer here (or maybe they are, but their names have changed), but there are a few who still are.

Anne (spiritdogs) - Thank you for all of the encouragement you gave me when I was going through this. I'm sure you don't remember, but I do, and you were one of the members who kept posting on my thread and you made me believe that I could keep her and give her a great home. You encouraged me to, as hard as it was, to not give in to my family's opinions and to listen only to myself. You were also one of the first people who told me to kick my fiance to the curb (he had bought Ash for me as bday present and then when it got hard he was one of the first to suggest I give her away), which I did. [;)

I also greatly admire how passionate you are about positive training methods and honestly, if it weren't for you, I would still be singing Cesar's praises. Not that there's anything wrong with Mr. Milan, but through reading your posts I was introduced and became more familiar with the works of Jean Donaldson and Patricia McConnell.

Lori (willowchow) - You were also one of the members who encouraged me to keep Ash. [:D] Aside from that, I greatly admire how much you care about Willow and all of the hard work and patience you have given and put into her. It shows a truly compassionate and understanding person. Willow is actually my favorite dog to read about i-dog. Through all of the aggression issues I've had with Ash, you have always posted and have always been very understanding and supportive. Thank you.

Janet Rose- You are a very helpful and informative person. The link master. When I was faced with having to give Ash away, you came on the thread and started firing off link after link after link of such useful information! You sent me links about training, puppy behavior, etc. I was in awe. [:)] Thank you.

Yes -- I couldn't agree with you more!  I've wanted to have a signature but couldn't find anything that really 'fit'.  Then I read her post and I thought... it really fits because we were so blessed to have Fe in our lives as she was a member of our family that is missed every day.  So there it was!  My new signature.  She went through so much with Tonka, hearing her story let me know I wasn't alone.  I hope one day, Tonka leads her to a special pet... one that can bring some happiness back to her life.

I like this thread, I can't believe I missed it before.

Ron, Your insight into my breed is something I cherish.  I think I offended you once by saying you sometimes like to talk about them too much, but I want you to know I was not serious.  I love to hear everything you have to say.

Glenda- I don't know a single person who is as caring and wonderful as you.  You astound me everyday and I'm so glad to have gotten to know you here.

Jean- For making me want to go to Alaska.  For knowing about sled dogs.  For goofy stories about Sofia and Ole.  And just for being a friend.

Gina- For being so out there and constant.  I don't think I have ever skipped a post written by you no matter what part of the forum its on.  (BTW, I'm drawing a complete blank on the gift thingy?)

Callie and Anne-for always having the answer.

Chelsea- for restoring my faith in teenagers.

Be careful what you ask for.[;)]

Actually, I don't remember being offended. But, if I was, don't worry, I've slept since then. (local slang for "it's forgotten.") And on that note, thanks for everyone being patient while I rambled on about Siberian Huskies. I am blessed to have a dog is very much that breed in heart. And I am blessed to have a place to talk about it. And be jealous of you guys that live in a place where sledding is possible. I'd have to build an all-terrain dog cart with 3 or 4 point independent suspension.

Julie (jewlieee)- I appreciate your upbeat attitude and the mindless chatter threads. You are just plain and simple a "fun" person to chat with.[:D]

Alieliza - I think it's amazing that you work so many "special needs" kids. Several of my friends immigrated to the United States in elementary and middle school and even the ones who already spoke English had a really difficult time and really appreciated additional help that teachers and teachers' aides gave. I also love seeing your Tyson pictures, as he seems like such a happy and well-adjusted boy. And your amibition and success with your garden are truly impressive!

Sloppy snortles to all the wonderful, loving, aggravating, messy, silly, high strung, confused, clever clowns that are the common thread that brings us all together ... all idoggers own warm fuzzies ... the dogs!

    Janice,
You seem like such a down to earth, kind person. I appreciate your easy manner. I also love your photographs of Rupert.
