I actually did swoon! I felt lightheaded! I can't tell you how surprised I was! He'd been selecting the diamond, designing the ring, and working with the jewlers for weeks ... and kept it entirely mum!! He'd even been secretly sizing up my ring size when we held hands! Yes! He got it perfectly right! For a few months we've been making sweet jokes about "if and when we cohabitate ...", "If or when we got married ....". He knew pretty well, by the quality and momentum of our relationship, that we were mutually headed towards merging our lives. But still, I will never forget the incredibly bare, honest, vulerable, and hopeful look in his eyes when he put his heart on the line and asked, "Will you marry me?" The quality and depth of trust he placed in me is humbling! I'm still floating, in a yummy love cloud! Please share in our happiness!
