Odd question.

I know this is kind of an odd question, but how many of the women/girls on this board don't have their ears pierced?

I ask this because it seems like every single woman/girl I see has their ears pierced (at least once

), except me. I am just wondering why it's such a big thing?

I have three holes in the right and two in the left. That's a neat question. I just like earrings. I have to wear my hair up a lot and it just adds to the wardrobe I guess. My Mother never had her ears pierced but she loved to wear earrings too. BTW, I love your signature. Wish people around here would take their trash out of the woods and not throw it all over the place.

I have three in my right ear in a row at the bottom and one at the top (but I never wear anything in it anymmore) and three in my left ear at the bottom. I dont even know how old I was when I got the first one, maybe 8? I also have my belly button done... thats all though, and no tatoos as of yet! If I did get one it would be on the top of my foot... something small and cute.

I've had my ears pierced twice, but both times they closed up, so they aren't currently, and won't be ever again. The first time one of the holes started to close while I had an earring in it. I must have been about 4, my mom went to take the earring out one night, and it wouldn't come out. I'm not really sure what they did to me, but eventually her and her friend managed to get it out. The second time one of the holes got infected, so I just let them close up, and gave up hope that I would ever be able to wear earrings.

I've never had them done.. and I never plan on it. It seems to me, too, that every female I see has hers done, but I have no desire to. I don't see what the big deal is either.

mine are pierced. Only once now. I used to have 2 holes in each ear but the second ones grew over. The first ones were done when I was about 8 and have never grown over and never will. I also have my tongue pierced. I havent worn a stud in it for a year now but i don't think it will grow over either.

One hole in each ear for me. Mine were done as a baby. Never had the desire to do more, I am a chicken, and the thought of someone ramming something through my ears is enough to deter me!! [

] I am glad I do have them peirced though. I don't think I would have had them done if I was older. My step-mom doesn't have hers pierced and she wears a lot of different jewelry, she just has clip ons instead to posts. Don't think she has any regrets.

My now 28 year old son, when he was a kid, wanted to get his ear pierced. I wouldn't let him do it. When he turned 18, he did it anyway. Shortly after that, he joined the Navy. I told him, if he had a hair on his butt, he would show up for boot camp with an earring in his ear. His butt remains hairless to this day. And his ear is now holeless. [

Mine arnt, i never really wanted to get my ears pierced either. I want to get my lip pierced though.

I have 2 holes in each ear. I love earrings!!
My 17 year old son just got 1 ear pierced, I'm not crazy about it, but so far he's been a good kid, so I pick my battles.

Both of my ears are pierced, once. After a while, I kept getting infected in the right ear. So, then I only wore an earring on the left ear. Once I took it out for something and never got back to wearing one, again. I think the hole is still there.

I have the regular ear piercings and one at the top. I had both ears pierced at the top, but the one in my right ear didn't work out well. It got infected, and it just wouldn't heal so I took out the earring and didn't worry about it anymore. Never had a single problem with the left one.

Yeah, I though it was kind of interesting. I sometimes felt like I was the only one who hasn't / doesn't want to have my ears pierced, although I knew it wasn't true.

Thanks. I love most of Aldo Leopold's essays. I was excited when his A Sand County Almanac was a required text for my field bio course last fall.

And, I know what you mean about the trash. It drives me nutty in the spring before Green Up Day; there's so much trash on the side of the road.

I've had my earlobes peiced a dozen times or more. I really LIKE earrings, and really want to wear them. I just can't. It doesn't work for me. I once had a second hole done, and that was a Hellish experience. My body doesn't like random metal objects. It even objects to surgical staples, LOL.

I got my ears pierced the first time when I was really young. My mom let me wear a pair of her heavy earrings for Halloween one year and it ripped huge holes in both ears that I can actually fit the tip of a pen in. I did get 3 more piercings in each ear later in life, but I bet they are all closed up now as I haven't had anything in them in over 10 years. My hair is long and very thick and gets caught in earrings so I don't bother.
