There's a scene in the book where the King has his wedding night with his virgin bride (medieval times)...

He disrobes and the wifey says "what is that?"...he says "That's is King's Iron..." and she says "It doesn't look like iron to me..." and he says "That is because it has yet to taste the forge..." and she says "What forge?" and he says "the one you carry with you..."
(all paraphrasing from memory but you get the gist)

I always thought it was an amusing scene...the point n laugh icon just kinda brought it back for some reason, lol!

sounds like a great scene.. I love it and totally get the joke now.. thanks for letting me in on it.. I wonder if Joyce read that book??[8|]

this particular conversation started yesterday because i found out he actually had a few kitchen skills so I told him I didn't realize he wasn't completely worthless.... he said "that was just about the nicest thing yu have ever said to me".. but then went on to suggest that it still doesn't mean I would "get any" from him.... I am paraphrasing here of course since we have young folks on the forum...[

I know we aren't supposed to use the [sm=beatdeadhorse.gif]to indicate abuse of an animal but would it be okay if I were to use the [sm=beatdeadhorse.gif] where the horse was representative of a particular person I have in mind? [
