What's your age limit...

I always thought I'd be dating older men, but my BF is 3 years younger than I am.  There are definately times he acts his age, or younger.  But there are also times when he's much more mature for his age.  When I think about how young he is, and especially when he acts like it.  I just think about all the things about him I'm attracted to.  Those reasons cancel out the age thing.

Jon is only 4 months younger than I am, but if I think about it (especially when he talks to me in a certain way...) I get the heeby jeebies about it.

 I will be 34 this month and would be fine dating a guy probably up to 60 (beyond that I start worrying about him kicking the bucket too soon..lol).[]
 
My DH is 43 and I don#%92t even notice the age difference. I could date a guy younger than me but probably would prefer not to date more than about 6 years younger.
 
I look at the individual not their age and for me the only requirement with regards to an older man is do they act like an old man.. if they are NOT young at heart, don#%92t have an absolutely incredible sense of humor, a zest for life, then I couldn#%92t date a man even only a year older.  No grouchy old men allowed!! []
 
But an older guy with a great personality, no prob.   LUS.. I kinda have thing for men with grey hair.[8|]  My DH is getting INCREDIBLY hot as his hair is greying... I am loving it![]

I agree...older/younger is not measured in months unless you are quite young...lol!

Depends on the person, but generally no younger than 27 and no older than 42.  How's that for "general"?  It's a 15yr spread, leaned heavily toward the older side.  (I'm not yet 31)

Well, see, the first man I was ever with, I was 19, he was 39...I certainly didn't care.  I loved it.
 
I wouldna be kicking Rupert Grint outta my bed (I prefer Tom Selleck and James Spader for my older men xD), but I sure as hell would feel weird about messin with Rupert after I was done *ROFL*  Wouldn't feel that way about Mr Spader xD
 
Fifty is my cut off age right now (shame on me, at 21 years old)...I think I have a daddy complex...eesh

I think he is cute but I feel weird about looking at him and I can't be very attracted to him.
 
I get a little weirded out by guys that are much younger.  I don#%92t know why. Maybe because my stepson is only 11 years younger than I am??   Maybe it is easier for guys though than girls?  I was only 21 when I met DH and he was 30. He didn#%92t have too much of a problem with it (a little, but not enough to decide not to pursue me after I made my interests known.) []
 
Although I think the parenting thing has a lot to do with it because now that his daughter is 20, he gets really weird about young looking women. In fact recently we were looking at some tasteful nude photography together[8|] (it wasn#%92t smutty stuff.. it was actual beautiful online photography[]).. and we saw this REALLY young looking woman (they were all of legal age btw…[]) and as soon as he saw her he goes “WOW.. there is my dream girl………… when I was in 8th grade!”           LMAO!
 
 SO I think having kids that are in their early 20#%92s makes a difference on how "young" you feel comfortable going...

I don't know how old ottoluv is, so...

My problem is purely psychological.  I feel that my age dictates the necessity that I be in charge of the relationship.  After all, this is how we're raised, is it now?  Respect and obey your elders.
 
I feel like I need to be in the position of boss, which is extremely uncomfortable for me.  I am not a leader, I am a follower (with dogs being the exception).  Jon is only 4 months younger than I (I was born in September, he in January), and the ONLY reason that I am comfortable with him, is because he commands respect.  He has this presence, and he makes me feel secure and safe.
 
He's incredibly grown up for his age (though he has his moments...don't we all xD), but DAYUM...he could tell me to lick scum off his boots and I'd do it :-p  Any other 21 year old would get the finger xD

lol thats funny though, and i agree. i hear some of my husbands stories from when he was in his twenties and i sometimes wonder how the heck we get along so well. i told him once if we had been born around the same time, closer in age range and known each other in our twenties... he would probably have been terrified of me... most guys my age are scared of me anyway. i also told him once i probably would have beaten him up if we had known each other in grade school.... i KNOW i would have beaten up his middle brother... i probably still can. that guy is the biggest cry baby in the world, and he's forty something!
which also says something about my age preference... my husband and i have a 22 year age difference. not that i set out to do that on purpose. the first night we met he thought i was jail bait (i was only 20) and i thought he was a butt hole. which is why we started off as room mates. he was newly divorced and i had just escaped a bad boyfriend, so we both hated the opposite sex.
however i still look like jail bait. the last doctor's appoint i had at the O.B. my husband was in the waiting room with both kids. as i came around the corner to leave i saw him talking to women around the age of thirty. all were smiling and admiring the boys, my husband was all puffed up like a peacock, all proud. but when they saw me..... oh boy, they shut up. the two women had these looks on their faces that went from "Aww what a great dad" to "Wow what a PERVERT!!" in a matter of seconds. once in a while he tells me "I love you but .... you look like you're 16!!!"
but he was the same way growing up. he was getting carded for drinks and ciggies when he was 35. he still looks pretty young for his age... and i dont know about the addage
