I only have one issue that annoys me: when people use "their" as a possesive pronoun for a singular noun. I'll use a line I heard in one of my favorite movies for example: "No
parent should have to bury
their child." The possesive pronoun should have been his or her, but I guess it was easier to use their. It drives me crazy.
Other than that, I don't have any major issues. When I see mistakes on internet posts I tend to attribute it to people writing quickly. If I have a memo or brief to turn in I'll proofread, but I don't really do that for I-dog posts.
Also, grammar rules are really complicated and they change all the time. I think all of the posts in this thread, including mine, have broken some sort of grammar rule (don't start sentences with conjunctions, don't end sentences with prepositions, etc). English can be a complicated language.
