Shelly, I just have to say that I think eating breakfast is one of the most important factors in weight loss. I lost 40 pounds about a year ago (well, over several months of course, but it's been off for almost a year), and in the weeks I didn't eat breakfast, I didn't lose weight, or as much weight, even if I was still exercising, controlling calories, etc. Another thing I noticed helped me a lot was having a food cut-off time. 7:30 was last-call. I didn't allow myself to eat anything after 7:30. I don't think there's really anything different about the time of day except that when I binge, I tend to do it late at night. Right before bed, I go to the fridge and pig out if there's anything to do so with.
Of course I also ate fewer calories and exercised regularly, but I think breakfast and having a cut-off time really helped me.
I don't have any breakfast suggestions though. When I was losing weight, I usually ate one of those Powerbar Harvest bars or whatever. They're good, but not so good that I'd want more than one, pretty filling for 250 calories, plus quite portable.
