Pan's Labyrinth

Wow you guys had me totally freaked out to watch this movie. I kept hiding my eyes for fear of being totally grossed out. But I was actually pleasantly surprised with the appropriateness of the gore in this movie. It may have been worse I suppose had I seen it on the big screen, but at home in my very safe livingroom I was just fine.[:D]

The white guy with the eyes in his hands was kind of barf worthy though... I have a real problem with things with black holes for eyes. Even Willow in Buffy freaked me out when she would go evil. LOL

Husky same here, but the first scene of brutality kinda did it for me lol
my cousin, who saw it with me, said that was probably the worst scene,
that film makers like to totally shock the pants off you right off and then
the rest would be kinda tame.. i beg to differ. anytime that Captain, General
or what ever he was came onto the screen i just knew something nasty was
about to happen... and i was right for the most part. what a horrid person.

My cousin liked the film for psychological insight. And i did too really.
but when you start to get all brainy and introspective or what ever, it
just ruins the ethereal, and fantasy aspects. I've read similar articles
written about the Labyrinth(the Henson version) booo! that's no fun!

And cool i didnt know they were making a sequal to Dark Crystal!
i liked Labyrinth better.. but i do think i would love to see part II of DC.
    Is there an official website?

They're making a sequel!!! OMG! I'm soooo excited. I loved the Dark Crystal. I have it on DVD and VHS somewhere. I saw it at the Drive In when I was a kid. Probably the first movie I ever saw there. I remember that we were soo little that my BIL's little bother and I sat in between the bucket seats of the truck on the floor, with a bucket of popcorn between us!!! It was a lot scarier back then.

A few years ago I met a girl, and the word Gelfling kept popping into my head everytime I talked to her. I had no idea why, but one day I mentioned it to a mutual friend and they burst out laughing and told me they totally understood why. I had forgotten all about the movie but for some reason the gelflings in it stuck with me and this girl totally looked like one of them.

Unfotunately, I couldn't find an official website for Power of the Dark Crystal.  I'm sure if you go to either Brian Froud or Genndy Tartakovsky's web pages they may either have a blog or something related to the movie.  A while back I looked on Brian Froud's page and they had some sketches & pictures of the movie, but not a whole lot more.  Here is a little snip it of the movie concept [linkhttp://www.muppetcentral.com/news/2006/020106.shtml]http://www.muppetcentral.com/news/2006/020106.shtml[/link]
