Are all of them pets that you keep?
All of what? The rats? When I was breeding rats, I bred for health, temperament, and conformation. I bred show quality ratties. [

] All of my breeding stock came from rats of known background....from reputable breeders. I developed my own line over the years of exceptionally healthy rats...tumor free, very low instances of myco flare-ups, virtually NO genetic health issues, and no genetic temperament issues either. My rats were wonderful. [

] Reputable rat breeders screen their homes very, VERY carefully and do not let any of their babies go as feeders. My adoptions process was long and pretty arduous, and I had to get to know potential adopters pretty well before I'd let them anywhere near their babies. Rat breeders have to develo a relationship with their adopters and most of us require weekly - monthly updates on the rats that we adopt out for the entirety of their lives. It's necessary to watch for genetic health and temperament issues...since the health testing that is available to dog breeders is not available to us. Obviously, I didn't breed my rescue rats...since most of them were of unknown background. But all of my rescue rats were put through the exact same adoption process as the rats that I bred. I no longer update my rattery website, but heres a link to it. [link

On the adoption page, you'll find a description of my adoption process, my adoption policies, and the contracts that all adopters were to sign. All of my rats were pets only, and all of them went on very strict NO breeding contracts. The oly rats released as breeders were a very select few that I bred myself that went to other reputable breeders that I knew very well.
Now that I am no longer an official breeder, I simply intend to do 1 litter a year to keep the lines going that I worked so hard to create. I'll keep most of the babies, and any that I don't keep will be adopted out to a few select people. So yes, all of thema re most definitely pets. [

If you meant the chickens...2 of them are pets, the other 4 are layers/food.
