    Lip Balm

Can anyone recommend a good lip balm aside from Blistex? Thanks!

Blistex!!!!!!!!!  Im freggin addicted to it.  The medicated kind is the only one I like though, is that the one you were referring to?  Ive yet to find anything that even comes close to Blistex.

I have the Blistex that comes in a purple tube, not the medicated kind. (I think that's the one in the green tube?) The texture is really good, and I love that it has SPF 15. I agree, Blistex is very good, but I was looking to try another kind. Actually, the next lip balm by Blistex I want to try is the Gentle Sense one because the ingredients are great... don't know how well it works though.

No the medicated kind is a white tube with red writing and a red strip along the bottom.  You should try it, its got a little cooling action and works so so good.  Although, you will likely become addicted.  It sounds weird but I dunno you start to have withdrawls without it and nothing else will do, lol.  [:)]

I use Vitamin E as well, but it comes in a tube and it's made by...cocoa care or some company like that.
    I SWEAR by it.

Bag Balm!  [:)]  I keep tubes of Blistex (the greenish one) in all my jackets for those times I need something when I'm not home, tho.  I work on a playground, and it can get quite windy out there.

I am a huge fan of the Burt's Bee's lip balms. I swear, the stuff is addicting. I go crazy if I don't have it with me all the time!

but anything with wax in it is going to dry your lips out even more. That's why I use vitamin E.

    I use Carmex...
Little round container with a yellow lid...
    I buy mine at Wal*Mart

I love Burt's Beeswax Lip Balm....I have used it for years and it has never dried my lips out!  You can usually get it at the health food store or Central Market or Whole Foods and also lots of random places around like sometimes at Barnes & Noble etc.

I've noticed that...Chapstick Blistex etc the more you use the more you need...scam-ola!
That's why I don't do sunglasses either lol. My cousin wears them so often she can't even be out on a cloudy day without them without wincing and her eyes tearing. I call her "the bat"...

Anyhow back OT...it's the wax eh? Good to know!

I've recently fallen in love with [linkroductId=26151&langId=-1&categoryId=&showSubCategory=yes]Burt's>http://www.burtsbees.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10751&storeId=10101&;productId=26151&langId=-1&categoryId=&showSubCategory=yes]Burt's Bees Honey lip balm.[/link]  It's awesome.  I also like the flavored Chapstick's.  Basically, I don't like anything with menthol in it or camphor.  I feel like it's counterproductive, like after it wears off, my lips are actually drier than they were before.  That's just me... :)

ETA:  I love the Burt's Beeswax balm as well - but it's got that camphor thing going on.  The Honey one is a new product I belive and is just smooth and sweet.

I absolutely love my Alba Pineapple Quench lip balm - I got it at the local health food store, the ingredients are nice and it tastes and smells wonderful. It almost feels like I'm eating some candy or something everytime I put it on! [:D]

Anything with petroletum (petrolium jelly, mineral oil, whatever--it's all the same stuff and you can probably guess by the name where it actually comes from: the oil that comes out of the ground) dries your skin. It feels great going on, but the reason people get "addicted" to lip balms is because they actually dry your lips out over time, not moisturize them.

I usually use a hemp oil lip balm that I get from the co-op.
