• Prayers Request for DH and I.. SaraD Posted : 1/21/2007 4:19:44 PM My husband and I are having many marital problems that have evolved from many different issues. I am asking for your prayers that with counseling we will be able to be a family that we once were. I am also asking prayers for myself on overcoming these zoloft withdrawal symptoms. I have weaned off of the medication, but am now experiencing the dreaded nausea and insomnia. Yes, I am weaning off of Zoloft under a Doctor's supervision. We began the weaning in early December. The withdrawal symptoms are not new to me since I experienced them when I was pregnant with my youngest son. I just hate going through them again. BTW, I withdrawalled from Zoloft with my youngest because my morning sickness wasn't allowing me to keep any of my medications down. This was back in 2004. Thank you for your thoughts for DH and I. • gradyupmybutt Posted : 1/21/2007 7:45:19 PM I only asked because I got yelled @ by my new doctor because I just stopped taking it one day.  I was moving from one place to another.  I just got so busy with the movers & packing & then unpacking, I just forgot to take it.  I didn't even notice any problems.  I'm back on another anti depressant.    Just know that to have friends here who you can lean on when things get tough.  If your marriage is worth saving, then by all means, fight for it, girl!! 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. • Luvntzus Posted : 1/22/2007 3:03:30 AM I'll definitely pray for you. Unfortunately I understand what you're going through with the Zoloft withdrawal. I took it for a couple of years and missing even one day of the medicine I would start to get withdrawal symptoms. It was horrible. [] If I turned my head to the side I got that- whoosh dizzy feeling, so bad that I could almost fall over. I was off the charts irritable and couldn't think straight. It was horrible. I was off the medicine for about 10 months when I realized that I NEED medicine for anxiety. Now I'm on Lexapro, which is basically the same as Zoloft. My advice is to wean yourself off the medicine very, very slowly. If you're having withdrawal symptoms then you may have not weaned yourself off the medicine slowly enough. You might want to see what your doctor thinks and maybe start back on a very small dose and then wean yourselff off it more slowly. Anyway, just wanted to say that I can definitely relate to what you're going through. It had been working for a long time. I went on it for anxiety before DH's first deployment to Iraq. The counseling is for DH and I to reconnect. We are having a very hard time learning how to play together again, even though we can work together very well. Since August of 2003 until May of 2006, DH has been constantly deployed. Now things have settled and we feel as though we do not know each other. Our marriage is worth saving. This is just the luck of the draw with many deployments, too much time apart, and then being together again with no deployment in sight. DH and I have known each other since '95 and have been married since '97. Not to mention we are NOW getting some insight on how the zoloft affected some aspects of this too. Thank you everyone for the thoughts.
