Most obnoxious TV add

Nor do like the ones "Are you gelling?"

Oh my gosh, Sandra I HATE those Dr. Scholl's ads where they say "are you gellin", "gellin like a felon". [&:] It's supposed to be funny, but it's just so stupid and dorky. I have to shudder, because those ads are so awful they're actually painful to watch.

My all time least favorite commercial ever is one that was on last over a year ago. It was for the Army and Sgt. Eunice Guerra (or something like that) got on my LAST nerve. There's this one line where she says "and then I get to go home and you know, put on a pair of, you know, jeans" that made me want to pull my hair out. It was a combination of her accent and the fact that the commercial was played at least once in every round of commercials. [:-]

I rarely see commercials anymore, thanks to TiVo, but the last series I remember hating was for a yogurt (Yoplait, I think?) where two women are comparing how good the yogurt is and keeping saying more ridiculous things, one after the other. "This is "blah, blah, blah" good.", 'No, it's "blah, blah, blah, good!" trying to top each other. I'm not sure why I hate them so much but they just make me cringe!

I think I know exactly which commercial you're talking about! The one where two women are sitting on lounge chairs eating yogurt saying stuff like- "it's like karma, wrapped in chocolate good" or some ridiculous crap like that. But what I hate more than anything are the valley girl accents. Makes me want to shove them in the pool they're sitting next to!

I also hate all of our local singles/chatline commercials. The girls are supposed to look sexy but they look like cheap hookers and they always talk in this gravelly, whiny voice that irks me to no end.

Other commercials I despise are the ones for Carl's Jr. where chili and stuff is dripping all over the place, people are making nasty mouth noises and stuff like that. Gross!! It does not make me want to eat there! [:'(]

I really hate a lot of commercials! This is why I usually just watch my movies or no t.v. at all. Unfortunately my husband watches t.v. at night so then I get to hear all the crappy commericals.

There are MANY that annoy me, but gosh, MUST I learn everything about a womans vaginal odor/birth control/tampon use AND personal lubricant on TV??

Now, my FAVORITE are the California Cows......when I moved away from CA I really MISSED those commercials.  Luckily they know air them nationwide.  I get the biggest kick out of those spots!

Glenda, do  you remember the ones years ago for Modess?  All they said was "Modess because ..." and if we happened to have a boy over watching TV, we'd about die on the spot from embarassment. I can remember starting to talk -  loudly - about anything that popped into my head at the time hoping whoever was over wouldn't notice the commercial. [:D] Now nothing is sacred - or too personal to be aired on TV. I could do without the ads for genital herpes meds. [:'(]

I know - we discussed this in a similar thread - I can't believe these people seem so nonchalant about having herpes (okay, I know they're actors, still...)

I also hate that commercial for e-harmony.  I know some of you have met your spouses online, but that old geezer on the ad just makes it seems so simple and that everyone who joins that site is so wonderful.

Don't even get me started on the "gellin' commercials", esp. the one with the newlyweds.  Gag me![:-]

Yep, I'm dating myself, but I do remember that.....remember the Playtex Living Bra being worn OVER the sweater?

Has anyone seen the one for Nutri System, with a dark haired woman in a denim skirt saying "Oh my God, i'm like a size 4 now, can you believe it, and i eat chocolate and did i mention i'm a size 4?".

My DH says i'm just jealous, but i find her sooooooooooo annoying....

Yeah, she's all like, "This is a 2!!!! *creepy smile/laugh*
