Gee Glenda,,,I am just today reading this whole thing right from the beginning. I'm so sorry I missed it but again its nice to read the much happier last part then the scary first part of this thread.
I'm so happy that your Mom seems so much better now... THANK GOD!
Its tough when our parents get older,,,seems something goes wrong so often. And the sister thing is bad,,,we all have such different worries and ideas. And boy is it easy for one sibling to step on the toes of another. Sure makes hard things even harder.
I have found with a few of our older parents over the years that just plain being out of their homes and into the hospital and out of their surroundings just makes for confusion for them. ITs so hard to tell if its drugs, illness or what it is.
Glad things are looking up, glad you didnt need my prayers or crossed fingers!! LOL!
And you know,,, a word about being "the strong one!" My mom walked out of the house to go to the store one day , she got hit by a car and died. I helped my Grandma thru it,,,it was her only child that got hit and my mom was already in her early 60, so that tells you how old Grandma was. But I helped by being "the strong one!" I was able to not even show a tear at the funeral, wasn't I strong????
Well, the end result was years of depression and anxiety. I see now that being strong isn't always worth it.
Hang in there and give your mom a Merry Christmas hug!
