As the thread starter, I can see why my mom always told me not to discuss religion or politics at the dinner table. [:D]

So, when you started this, you had no idea of the outcome?....Hmmmm.........

But that's what makes it so much fun.  In NDR you can wind up a mile OT, and it's OK as long as everyone is playing nice. [:)] We've done politics and religion.  Now what's the other one we're not supposed  to discuss at the table?  Sex!  Anyone want to get that one started??

i thought the afore mentioned issues were directly related to the "why" part of who we would vote for, "input for the pollsters" [&:]

GayleMarie, discuss the aforementioned all you'd like...on a different thread.

I don't like Hillary Clinton and I'm a Democrat. I hope they don't run her.

I wish Anne Richards were still alive! Now SHE was a smart cookie and a real kick in the pants!

How about if Molly Ivins runs for Prez?

would anyone vote for oprah? i can really see her trying on some political shoes.

anne, religion and politics are a no-no, no matter where you are in my house, dh just refuses to discuss either of them. i have yet to understand why some people just do not like it.
    • Gold Top Dog

    • Gold Top Dog
Oh, Wow!  I'd vote for Molly Ivins!

I like it, too, but I can argue without holding a grudge for the next ten years LOL.

As to Oprah, no I would not vote for her.  Now, had she made Jean Donaldson or Karen Pryor a household word instead of CM, maybe. [sm=devil.gif]

Another I have voted for in the past for whom I'd vote again in a heartbeat is Jesse Jackson. We saw him speak in Albuquerque when he ran before and my, he's very smart.
