Does everyone remember Betsy? I thought she made some good points in the training area, but she could be pretty abrasive too.

I personally think Joel was just picked on. One person didn't like him so some others followed. Every post Joel made was torn apart. Some people here, myself included have said things that were a little shocking. Joel would say something shocking and folks would rally together to use it against him. I've read things from other people that have made my eyes pop out. He brought alot of humor to the board and I really enjoyed it.

I liked Joel's humor too but you have to be fair. He was his own worst enemy. I am not saying that we don't have a moderator wannabe or two here, who might have picked Joel apart, but ultimately, Joel was responsible for Joel.

Angel, I know you weren't speaking directly to me. I will say that I'm not part of any group here, I'm just a dog-lover, so I didn't follow the *I hate Joel* crowd. I had nothing against him, his style just wasn't mine. I don't enjoy dealing with people who are constantly trying to get my goat. I prefer to keep my blood pressure as low as possible.

Cathy, who doesn't remember Betsy? She was a real pistol, for sure.

Ahhhhhhh, Betsy. Would argue with SELECT people just for the sake of arguing with them. I agree, she was knowledgeable but quite disruptive.

Well, you sure aren't giving people much credit for being able to think for themselves.

A person doesn't offend that many people, that many times, and get that many warnings if they aren't doing something wrong.

I noticed Joel (oinst) was back a couple of months ago. He lasted about a week! I really enjoyed the board with Joel and Betsy. Joel always made me laugh and Betsy made me think. So often members with differing opinions have a hard time on this board, but Betsy could certainly hold her own - no problemo. Whether you agree or not, it is always interesting to hear ALL sides passionately debated.

Tina, I am not suggesting that you are/were a member of any group, but you have to admit, there certainly was a "I Hate Joel" group just as there was one for Betsy. I would hate to think these people could have influenced the decision to ban either of them.

Angel you need to give the masses credit. We are not sheep...if one person is majorly disliked by many, many people....then it's likely not the masses that have the problem. If they are not able, after repeated warnings to follow rather simple rules...then they go. Billy is still here... he and I don't always agree but he seems able to follow the forums rules....inability to do so, was I believe what led to J's exit.

I was personally insulted with no particular reason for it aside that I actually asked that he look up his own information and use his own ability to read to find out answers to the many question he seemed to have about dogs and dog showing.

He was the reason I left Idog and I am glad he is gone. He was the ultimate "poor me" type, I always felt pity for him but even pity only let's you get by so long.

I seem to remember a few very long threads, started on that very subject! I was even PM'd to support having him banned. It's actually nice that those sort of things don't happen nere anymore.

Me too. Of course, I didn't participate, I was suprised that I was asked and I truly don't think the effort had any effect. Nevertheless, IMO, there was an organized effort to get rid of Joel. With Betsy, I personally know of no such organized effort. That being said, I never saw her violate any rule that I am aware of.

That just goes to prove my point that people were out to get him. Yes I agree that he was responsible for himself, but I strongly agree that if he were a higher up member he would ahve been permited to stay. I'm not pointing at anyone, so don't jump on me unless I ahve said your name.

Like I said, some of things he said shocked me, but I have been shocked at what others have said and gotten away with as well.

I do understand that some would not want him back as i agree Brenda should not come back, BUT Brenda went WAY WAY WAY over the limit. Joel didn't tell anyone off, he made smart @$$ jokes. Brenda got away with it because she had people here behind her, Joel had no one. I ahve gone way back and read things Joel had done and things that were taken out he had filled me in on, I did not find it that bad.
He had posted a pic of a snake, we were talking about snakes, the picture got deleted because someone was afraid of the pic. Everyone got mad at him for doing such a terrible thing. There are pictures posted all the time, he was joking and it was harmless.

Not to get into everything he did but, I am just proving my case that Joel was really innocent.
