How awful for you! And a good show of what goes around comes around. I work for two Psychologist's and let me tell you, there are days I could just cry about the things that humans do to one another. Hopefully he will either be let go or have to quit. You hang in there.

Lets just say it wasn't one of my BETTER days! [:@]

I testified at a departmental hearing and he got 6 months desk duty and also had to take some sort of sensativety training...which clearly didn't take, so I'm betting he'll be fired or reassigned to ride a desk from here on out.  I'm hoping that he gets jail time for beating his wife.  I volunteer and work with battered women and unfortunately, a lot of times they either won't press charges, or refuse to testify after they DID press charges.  Fortunately, the laws have changed....when I was being battered the police couldn't arrest the man unless they WITNESSED the beating...didn't matter how many witnesses there were, if the officer didn't SEE it, oh well.....and they can now still get a jail sentence, but it's a heck of a lot easier if the wife is willing to testify.

And soon we'll all be complaining about how blasted cold it is and how much snow we're getting!

Not me, I'll be reporting nice, clear, sunny days with temps in the mid 70's. [:)]
    Sorry, couldn't resist.

Our hottest day this summer was 118' so I am enjoying the cooler weather! [:)] We still had a few warmer days last week of mid-90's but at least it has been cooler at night. It's nice to turn off the AC, open my windows, and snuggle up in my down comforter.

If it's any consolation, most prison inmates do not like cops, for some reason.

He's fixin' to get an education. And maybe, a new SO, named Bubba.

I know what you mean when highs in the 90's is a cool down.

We were averaging 105 to 110 for a while.

My favorite season is autumn (I love when the air gets brisk), but a true autumn doesn't exist out here.  What I long for are the crisp, bright days, leaves crunching under my feet, brilliant colors in the landscape, that "autumn scent" -- all the things that are part of a New England autumn.  Last year I went home to CT in October, and that did my heart good.

What I don't like about autumn here is that it means the horribly dreary, grey winter is coming.  I'd much rather have colder weather with bright blue skies.

Glenda -  one bright side to having the cold weather approaching is that the "you-know-whats" will no longer be hanging out in your yard, garage, etc.  I used to love walking the dog in the winter in CT -- I knew we'd never run into one of those creepy things!

Oh don't I just know it!!  We are basically surrounded by trees on 3 sides, the big old pines behind us, and then an enormous unused farmers field, along side the house and then another enormous field behind those, and across the driveway that they call a road is yet another huge stand of big old pines and fields.....I'm anxious to get the dogs out there to explore.  There are acres and acres of neat places to run and play for them and good exercise for US!

We had a frost last nite.....everything is white outside!  So as much as I hate being cold, I can't WAIT for a good hard freeze and no more snakes!

We should make a date in december to go down and throw some snowballs at Ron [:D]
    • Gold Top Dog
Feb would be better...it's colder and we'll be sicker of winter by then.  And what we *should* do is hijack him and drag him up NORTH and make him shovel snow for a couple weeks......Shadow would LOVE it up here!  Ron, probably not so much!
    • Gold Top Dog
Great idea! But he has to shovel the end of the driveway, right before the plow comes and fills it back in.He can also take the dogs out for us when its storming and chisle the frozen dog poo out of the snowbank! We can stay warm inside and drink cocoa.Thennnnnnnnn we can go out and pelt him with snowballs!
    Pack you bags Ron!!
    • Gold Top Dog
Girl, I LIKE the way you think! [:D]
    • Gold Top Dog
Why thank you! Now quickly delete the whole thing before he discovers our plan [:-] We have to take him by surprise! You get a crate for Ron and i will get Shadows dog sled ready!
